Not only does it take a lot longer to get any type of order, whether that be food or drink (>15mins is unacceptable, especially during slow times), but they fail to get ANY of my food orders right. It seems as if no one at the Los Alamos Sonic knows what is on the "Every day value" menu, because whenever I order off of it, my order is always, 100% wrong.
*Additional note: The carhop should not have the gall to ask if I want my change back after making me wait for more than 15 minutes for a drink and an order of ice cream.
Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain. – In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
