Great Food & Patient Staff – I actually had a very positive experience at Akbar. I thought the food was really good and the staff were friendly. I admit that the wait staff was not the best I have had but they were patient with our large group that came out to eat that nice. I was actually surprised at the large number of bad reviews of this restaurant. This location is clearly a small business whose clientele is one particular group. Beyond that I do plan on going back and enjoyed some of their unique offerings that I have not found at other Indian restaurants.
Awful attitude – Very surprised with awful attitude, completely miissing customer is right, food was bald and had no taste, same food you can get at any below average resturant.
Akbar serves very very Average Food – We had a graduation party at Akbar. The food wasnt that great at all. I treid to give recipes, but somehow they just dont know how to make tasty food. Too much cream makes the food so greasy that you hardly can have it. I guess thats what they wnat. They serve very little food on the tray hoping that guests/customers would go away after waiting for few mins.
They have changed the definitions of Tondoori naans. Its like tough leather, not fluffy at all.
The paneer koftas are so solid that the koftas didnt absorb any juice. We Indians love to eat at the gatherings. If the food is not welcoming, appealing, aromatic and inviting, then what good is it.
Very disappointed with the quality of food. They have raised the price, but they have degarded the quality
Try to avoid Akbar – Before you arrange a party at Akbar please make sure to ask if they have any accomodations in case of a blackout.
We had a party for 300 people which was ruined by a blackout.Akbar didn't even offer compensation of any kind.Such a big restaurant and they didn't make any accomodation for a generator.
Please make sure to ask management what measure they would take in case of a blackout.
I would rather suggest that you find another place for your party. Please also check all their chairs.
Top of it after the party lots of people call me and told me that angoor bansudi was sour and couple kids got sick of it.
Another person sent me an e-mail and told me that on the day of their party they had 1 hour power outage.
Talking to the Owner Minaxi Malhotra "Do what ever you can about this" is the attitude she has.Just be careful if you have to host a party at Akbar.
