Two Maids & A Mop

Friendly, Courteous, Exceeded Expectations. BLUF: I highly recommend this company/service. I was very pleased with the level of service received. The only things that came up for me was that I needed to step in and ask to have the couches moved in order to be swept behind/under and that they mopped around the kitchen and dining room chairs instead of putting them in another room or turning them upside down on the table(s). BUT, if they did that, I'm not sure the list would've be completed in the time allotted.

Pleased with Minor Concerns. I was very happy with Robin and Kirstin. They were very friendly and professional and worked hard. My house was so much cleaner than it ever would get on my own. This was my first time using them and I definitely will use them again and will recommend them to my friends.

My only concern (and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars) is the price/job I was quoted and asked for didn't match the service I actually received. I had gotten a quote for a "top to bottom deep cleaning" at a rate of $485. At the same time, I was given a quote for 3 hours of "general cleaning" at $190. When I set up the appointment, I specifically asked why I should get the $485 deep cleaning rather than a 3 hour general cleaning and was told that the deep cleaning was far more detailed and thorough and that they would spend as much time as it took to get it thoroughly deep-cleaned. So I requested the deep cleaning. I naturally assumed that a $485 deep cleaning would take a lot more time than a $190 3-hour general cleaning. I was not in the house for much of the cleaning, but after 3 hours, Robin and Kirstin came out with all their gear, saying they were finished. I had expected at least 6 hours of work for that amount of money. I did not go in to inspect the cleaning job, but I told them I was not going to pay $485 for 3 hours of work when I'd seen a $190 quote for a 3 hour cleaning. Duh? An extra $300 for the same amount of time? They totally understood my position and I only wrote the check for the 3 hour general cleaning at $190.

When I did go in the house to see what they'd done, I was extremely pleased with the job as long as it was a $190 "general cleaning." I definitely would not describe the cleaning they did as "top to bottom deep cleaning." They did do pretty much everything on the check list that I was given for the deep cleaning, but there were many spots missed or not thoroughly done. In many places that were dusted, there were visible spots missed close to the edge of items on the surface like around the base of lamps, computers, TV, etc. Leather chairs were not wiped down at all. I could still see dust on the dark brown leather chair. There were still some cob-webs along the walls. Since they left almost exactly at 3 hours, I'm not 100% sure they were even told to spend as much time as it took to do a very thorough top to bottom deep cleaning. The cleaning job seemed like they had rushed a little to get it all done in 3 hours...all the items were done, just not thoroughly or "deeply" cleaned. So I would suggest you never ask for a deep cleaning job at the start....see what you get with the 3 hour general cleaning first.…

I have tried several other housecleaning options from the individual self employed to the large chain multiple state company and so far (3 cleanings) Two Maids and a Mop is delivering the best value yet! They have been very easy to work with and very respectful of my house and belongings. I am looking forward to a long and happy partnership! I love coming home on the days they have been here. Great Job!!. I recently had to change cleaning services, and decided to go with Two Maids and a Mop starting in mid-Jan 2012. The person who came by to give me my quote was ApriI, and I was very impressed with her and thought her quote was reasonable. I requested to have cleaning services every two weeks.

The first cleaning was pretty good. The two ladies showed up on time and were very professional. I was disappointed that a few things were overlooked, but overall it was much better than my previous cleaning service. I know the ladies tried hard and I could tell that the things that were not quite right were not intentional. I think they just need to get accustomed to my house and my preferences. So I sent April my rating for the first cleaning, along with the list of things (there were 10) that were overlooked or not to my satisfaction.

I was MUCH happier with the second cleaning! I would give it a 9.8/10. I'm almost certain that the feedback I gave after the first cleaning was reviewed, because everything I'd had an issue with previously seemed to have been corrected with the second cleaning. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was that I didn't think the master shower was cleaned thoroughly enough. But I can see that they did clean it. It's a tile shower with glass doors and it can be a bit of a challenge.

I would recommend Two Maids and a Mop, as they seem to care about satisfying their customers.…
