Home away from home. My wife and I stayed here when it was the Gitchee Gumee and all I can say is what a difference new management makes! The staff were incredibly helpful, giving us helpful hints as to where to eat and the places to go that feature live entertainment. The room was spacious and clean. The location is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. We had a room with a kitchen that had pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc so we wern't tied down to eating out (which can get expensive) Our stay in Ocean Shores was greatly enhanced by our accomadations at Ocean Shores Inn and Suites. Will definately be back!…
Nice and friendly.
We really liked the smiling staff that greeted us after a dismal drive down to Shores. The room was very comfortable and warm with a fireplace going. We were directed to a nice Chinese restaurant for
lunch.
The walk to the beach was pleasant, too. It was only just across the street and through the dunes.
This is a very convenient place. We will be going back.…
GREAT PLACE TO STAY. I would recommend this place to any of my friends. I definitely recoomend the one bedroom condo rooms though. They have smaller, regular rooms, but skip those unless your on a serious budget, and if you are, they were still cheaper than the other ones in town (we checked around). I love a place I can go that has a kitchen to cook in, and a living room to hang out in, and a bedroom to sleep in. Slightly older furniture, but adequate. Bed soft, but comfortable. Ocean Shores is a nice place to go chill , and walk on the beach, and walk around the city, but also, its cool to just go to your place and watch tv, cook a meal , put your food in the frig and eat the leftovers the next day. I like to relax on vacation. The staff is cool too, friendly like they really care. They definitely werent stuffy they made it seem like they cared about you being there. We're going to go for a week next time!…
pretty Nice. Not bad...Pretty clean and easy access to your car. We had to delay our reservation for a week and they did it with no problems. Only complaint was with the people above us slamming doors untill 2 am, but when we called the front desk they took care of it. All in all a good deal for the money..we would stay again...…
Worst stay EVER, will NEVER go back. I have to admit that they did have nice dishes, I think that was the only good thing about this hotel. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. We had problems before we even got there. I was called the night before my reservation being asked if I was still coming in, I replied with "tomorrow as that is when our reservation SHOULD be!" There were just kind of shocked at my reply, thanked me and hung up! When I got there no one seemed really happy about having to be at work, they were down, out of it, and mumbled a lot. When we 1st walked into the room there was a slight odor of mold, nothing to be said about it though, we just stayed the night and the next day went on with our lives, or so we thought. 2 days after the stay here I was looking into my bank statement because my acct was over drafted and I should of still had $90. This is when I noticed that there were two charges on my card from ocean shores inn and suite, one for $110(the room) and another for $108.40. So I called them and they said that someone was smoking in our room, but none of us smoke!! Now I am fighting with them, they did gave me $58.40 because they said they had to pay $50 to clean the room (if you have been here ever you would know that they do not do a very good job of keeping it clean anyways!!) So now I am still fighting for the rest of the $50 as well and the overdraft fee that I incurred due to them. To top this all off, the room was not in my name, I just used my card to pay for it!! I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, even if I was paid to do it!!…
