What a Disappointment. As a middle-aged woman I have been to many salons in my life. Some were great, and some were not so great. This is one That is not so great. I have gone several times because of the close location to my home. My latest experience there will be my last.

I was not happy with my hair because my stylist colored it incorrectly, she then proceeded to "redo" it. After I washed it the next day it looked like straw. I called the manager who offered to give me free conditioning treatment. The long and the short of it is that even after that it looked like straw. Moreover, after another call I got an attitude from the manager. Not a very professional leader, given I had spent $250.00.

Then, I called another very-well-known salon in the area and asked them if someone should "re- color" hair the same day and they said, "It is hairdressing 101, not to redo a full foil the same day."

I went to a wig store and bought a wig ( another $200.00.) You can't fight City Hall or unprofessional establishments. They have an excuse for everything. Go to the bigger salons in Cherry Hill or other big towns, not this one. They will charge you the same.

Best facial. If you want an AMAZING facial then you need to go here! Make sure you get Tina!! I have had many facials from many different salons and Tina by far is the best at what she does. My face glows when I leave there! My make up goes on better, and sometimes I can get away with not wearing any at all. She is very professional and knows what she is talking about when it come to taking care of your skin. I would never trust anyone but Tina with my face! She also does an amazing eyebrow wax, she gives the best arch and trims them perfectly. It is important to go to a perfectionist when it comes to brows because one bad brow wax and you are done! I also like the appearance of the salon, it is decorated so pretty and inviting. I have always had a good experience with the front desk. They have always been very accommodating.

My suggestion would be try it out and see for yourself! I also need to mention that when you get a hair cut when the shampoo girl washes your hair, she gives you a scalp massage!! It is the best part of the haircut! I have never seen that before. Other salons charge more for that and consider it a separate service.

booo.. went there for an occasion WITH a photo of what I believed was a very reasonable request. I just wanted long, loose curls.

Sammi, did not listen at all. AND I don't know how the rest of you feel, but I can't stand it when a stylist KNOWS it doesn't look good, but has all the other hair stylist come around to confirm just how "GREAT" it looks.

I left very disappointed and had to redo my hair when I got home. I will Not return there any time soon.

Can't Follow Directions. Sorry that I wasted my time and money, but this salon looked nice from the outside and it is close to where I work. However, the problem was that the stylist I saw couldn't follow the directions I wanted even though I brought in a magazine with the picture of the cut shown from every angle. My bangs were uneven. I asked her to look at the picture again and make a change. She seemed upset about this, so I just complained to the front desk when leaving and was given a stupid answer. This seems like a small town salon that tries, but it just doesn't "cut" it.

Professional, Friendly Salon. I've been going to Techniques for about 11 years! Even through college and then moving over an hour and a half away for 3 years, I never went anywhere else (except for the 6 months I was out of the country - A girl can only go so long without getting her roots dyed).

They helped me through some tough times (getting rid of blue hair) and have always been helpful and professional. In all that time, I have only had a couple less than stellar experiences, but I chalk them up to not being able to see my usual stylists and not being familiar with another person's way of doing things. It was never anything drastically bad; obviously I'm still getting my hair done here! I'm also not a huge fan of the scalp massage, but that's a personal preference - I think I have a tender scalp, lol. It’s also not so fun when you’re hungover…

Overall, Techniques is a great place. They always try to take care of you - they offer to get you drinks or reading material. They are good with listening to directions and doing what's necessary to please you. If you want something done differently, just tell them! I think some people who have given bad reviews are the type that don't speak up until it’s too late or feel like they can't ask for something to be changed. The stylists are also not mind readers – no one is. Unless you are specific with what you want or give them some sort of visual aid, the picture you have inside your head may not be what you get. This is true with any salon.

I’ve been seeing the stylist Anita for about 7 years now and in the past year I’ve been going to Lindsay as well. I recommend both to anyone looking to get their hair done here!

Not impressed. I went there for the first time about a month ago, give or take a few weeks. I had asked for something new, and fabulous, and trendy, but the cut was just blah. I wasn't satistified.

Wonderful -- Worth the drive!. I have been going to Techniques for 10 years. I moved to Delaware in 2008, and now the trip takes me an hour, but it's worth it. I love coming there for my pedicures. They take their time, the pedicure area is well ventilated, the chairs are comfortable, there are a lot of choices for the nail color, it's clean, they don't pull out the razor and the technicians and staff are wonderful and welcoming. I never thought I would drive an hour each way for a pedicure, but for me, it's worth it. I have tried several places for my pedicure in DE. There's no comparison. I love Techniques!
