Gracious retreat from the hub bub of Jersey shore! Close to great dining and entertainment.. Under new management since Memorial Day 2007. Steve, the new proprietor has completely rennovated this grand old lady. Esprit is friendly and attentive. Great brunch on the porch, overlooking the ocean. Forget the car, walk to Island Palm Grill in town, buy a bottle of your favorite libation at the Bottle Shop along the way; then take in a live show at Spring Lake Community Theatre! You can get tickets online. Great weekend escape. We'll be back!

Terrible place to stay in Spring Lake.
At over $300 per night, you think you could expect a comparable service level. However, the Grand Victorian Hotel fails in every way possible.
We booked a "suite" with two full size beds to sleep 4 people but found that it was much too small to be comfortable. The bathroom shower was approximately 2' x 2' with either very hot or very cold water and little water pressure.
The worst part was when I realized I left my eyeglasses in the room. I called the hotel (6 hours after I left; they didn't have the courtesy to call and notify me that they found my glasses), and they were very difficult and unhelpful. I ended up scheduling a pickup with FedEx.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless I wanted them to have an awful experience.
