My co-workers prefer the coffee in this place. We really don’t like the coffee in the office. That is why, if ever the opportunity shows itself, we buy coffee from this place.

Best Barista, First Class Service, Wonderful Staff, Delicious Espresso, Poor Health Rating, Bad Management. If you're looking to sit down and relax in a quiet coffee shop to avoid the hustle and bustle of a busy city like Nashville then the West End Starbucks is probably not the place for you. Situated next to Rumba on West End Ave within walking distance to Centennial Park and the Parthenon, this Starbucks is buzzing with Vanderbilt students, busy professionals, bible studies and business people.

At first I was not impressed with a DISGUSTING "78" Health Inspection rating, but I continued on to the counter where a wonderful barista, Lana, assisted me with my order. She was delightful to a tee and gave me some of the most welcoming customer service that most people have long forgotten. Just after placing my order I felt like I knew her and she genuinely cared about my day and my coffee experience. The Triple Grande Nonfat Extra Caramel Caramel Macchiatto was more delicious than any I've tasted before.

If you love people watching, have a taste for great coffee and want a refreshing place to meet or catch up the paper, this Starbucks has the location, the courteous staff and wonderful view you'll be looking for. Thanks to Lana for such a delightful experience, I was truly pleased.

One unfortunate thing I have learned after returning several times is that the staff often complains of the manager and her attitude. I heard that one associate was threatened to be fired if they called out sick for their first time! Hopefully the management will be replaced and the health inspection score will improve...
