I drove her crazy trying on a ton of gowns, but she just kept reassuring me that I would eventually find “the one” which I did!! She was also so nice to my grandma, which meant a lot to me! I love my gown – it’s an Allure gown with a ton of bling and lots of tool. I can’t wait to wear it!!
THANK YOU Park Ave Bridals for going over and above for me last week!!! My wedding was the Saturday after Hurricane Sandy and I was a wreck. I had a bridesmaid coming in from PA who needed to get fitted, and I still did not pick up my wedding gown. I was stressed! Andrea called me right after the storm, gave me her cell number and met us at the shop twice so we could get everything done. She had no power in her own home and the shop did not have full power, but she was more concerned with getting me set for my wedding, than she was about herself. Everything worked out perfectly for my wedding and although about 40 people couldn't come- it was a great night!! I would recommend Park Ave to all!!!
Wonderful Selection. I went to Park Ave Bridals back in the summer of 2011. My consultant was very kind & respectful of my budget. She told me that every dress I brought a pic of was out of my budget, but she brought out 6 dresses of similar styles. I found the perfect dress, but still went to David’s Bridal in Springfield to try some less expensive styles. The experience was horrible (rude consultant who didn’t help me get dressed & opened the door while I was half naked), so I ran back to Park Ave Bridals and got my gown. My dress came on time & alterations were done well (bustle, waist and bust). My only gripe was the seamstress telling me that I need to lose another 5lbs for my dress to fit better. She was right, but not so tactful. I lost the weight & the dress was perfect.
Do Not Get Your Dress Here.
I am not pleased with this wedding dress location at all!
They are rude and do not cater to the bride at all.
My wedding is March 31 of this year and for my second fitting there was no power at this location. With the amount of money spent on my wedding dress you would think that this place would be able to afford a back up generator in case of a power outage. The guy at the front desk totd me to call PSEnG to complain about the power instead of being sorry for not having a back up plan when these things occur. He yelled at me and stated that it wasn't his problem. Furthermore, instead of advising brides of the current status of the store, they decided to take their chances and tell brides and brides madies to come back after they had arrived at the store for fitting and to look for dresses. When I went into the fitting room to try on my dress the seamstress began to laugh about the situation as if it was a joke. I have never seen this in my life. If I knew these people only acted as if they cared about the bride before you bought a dress I would have never choose this location to purchase my dress..... Regards, An totally Upset Bride
2 THUMBS UP!!. Just picked up my gown this week for my 1/14/12 wedding and I can't thank Park Ave enough!! The staff is INCREDIBLE, all so kind, nice and "smiley". I bought my gown almost a year ago from Teresa and LOVE it even more now than I did the day I got it! She was so sweet and helpful. We also bought my mom's dress and my 5 bridesmaids at Park Ave. Jean helped us and she too was THE BEST!! She made all my girls feel comfortable even when they picked their sizes (which could have been a very stressful experience). She was fun and really gave good advise. I would recommend Park Ave to everyone!!
LIFE SAVERS!!!. I was one of the unfortunate brides who purchased all of my Jim Hjelm bridesmaids dresses (9 dresses!!!!) from Nonchalance. I was in such a panic because my wedding is October 8th.... of this year! But thankfully Gary and the staff at Park Ave Bridals saved my day! My bridesmaids gowns now will be in by the end of next month. THANK YOU SO MUCH Park Ave Bridals!
Excellent Service/Staff.
I just got married this past Valentines day and got all of my gowns at Park Ave Bridals. They are the best!! I purchased an Allure tool gown that was perfect for me. I never would have thought to try it on, but my salesgirl- Angie (LOVE HER!!) told me it was her favorite gown and didn't look as good on the hanger to just try it on to make her happy. As soon as I put it on- my mom and I started crying- it was THE DRESS!! I know everyone always says you know when it's right, but I never thought it would happen to me. I had been to so many other bridal shops. Park Ave was the only shop had exactly what I wanted and treated me AWESOME!! My girls got their gowns there too- really pretty Belsoie dresses in navy blue. Luz helped me pick everything out for them (even my pregnant sister was happy!!) Our alterations were flawless and everyone was SOOOOOO NICE!!! I recommend them to every one I know who got engaged.
What a great experience!!!
horrible alterations. I purchased a Stephen Yearick bridal gown at Park Avenue Bridal. After stressful alterations, on the day of my wedding the dress still wasn't right i had to wear 2 bras to hold the dress up! 8 days before my wedding i spent 7.5 hours at the store going back and forth with the seamstress about the fit of the dress. first they took it in too much ( it was huge when it came in, and after they were done with it, my boobs were being pushed up to my chin). then they let it out too much. They told me to purchase a certain undergarmet...then told me it wasnt right. i was having an anxiety attack in the store 1 week before my wedding because my dress basically had to be taken apart....again. at the end of the day, when i look back to all my photos...my dress is ripplely, too big in some places and looks like its falling down. ( which may be because the dress came with straps, even though i ordered and tried on a strapless dress)
Best Bridal Shop. I just had my first fitting at Park Ave this weekend. I have had such a wonderful experience there! Every time I go in, the staff is so friendly and accomodating. Angie sold me my dress and she could not have been more HELPFUL and just plain NICE!! I had gotten my hair trial done knowing I was going to have my dress fitted and one of the girls there spent an hour showing me veils, just giving me ideas because she knew I was so into my new hair look!! Jasmine fitted my dress exactly how I wanted it, making suggestions, but really listening to how I envisioned it fitting. I LOVE Park Ave and would recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact my co-worker is getting married in 2011 and I have already recommended them to her!
Salespeople are not knowledgeable with poor customer service.
I am writing this complaint for my mother, Anna Zarebczan. My mom went to Park Ave Bridals in Verona, NJ in March to find a mother of the bride dress for my sister's June wedding. She went with my sister and they both explained that she wanted a dark rose colored dress. She tried on a dress in which she loved the style, but they didn't have it in the color she was looking for. The salesperson brought out swatches and recommended a pink one, but my mom and sister were hesitant because it looked quite bright on the swatch. The salesperson brought out another dark rose dress and said it would be more like that dress, that the swatch doesn't always tell you what the dress will be like. She convinced my mom to order the dress and my mom paid over $300 up front for it on her credit card.
The dress came in three weeks before the wedding and it is pink, not a dark rose at all!!! My mom and sister were shocked and said that that was not what they ordered and were told too bad, there's nothing we can do. My mom was crying in the store and the manager, Jean, repeated that that's what you ordered so it's your problem and left her there!
When I called the following day I was given the run around by Jean, the manager. I asked her whether she had spoken to the salesperson who initially sold my mom the dress she said no. She then argued that the dress was just like the swatch and even the salespeople can't be sure what the dress will ultimately look like. I then asked her whether it was right for her salesperson to show my mom another dress and assure her it would be more like that color. She responded no, but kept insisting that the dress was a dusty rose without a hint of pink to it! She then told me once again that it’s our problem and if my mom's not happy too bad.
