The owner (of the Puyallup store, not sure if he owns them all) is dishonest and doesn't stand by their products. They sold us a stove that was missing a part. We had a repairman from their store come out to look at the stove and he was shocked that a major component was missing from the stove.

We called and told the owner what happened, and that he sold us a stove that was missing a critical part. Shockingly, he said it was our problem because *we* should have disassembled and inspected the stove when he sold it to us to determine whether or not all of the parts were included!!! I've never heard of anything more ridiculous.

I would never recommend anyone buy anything from this store. If you do, you'll be expected to become an expert on the pool or stove, and you'll be expected to disassemble it to check whether or not they are trying to defraud you.

Now they will only add the part if we pay for it and for two visits to our house to install it.

Basically, the message we got from the owner was, "sorry Suckers." (He didn't say those words, but that's about what the situation amounted to.)

I don't know whether or not these people care at all about their reputation, but I'll be happy to update this review if they change their minds and fix their own mistake (or fraud?) and put the part in our stove. If I don't update this review, you'll know that even when their abuses are made public this company couldn't care less.

Bought a fireplace insert three years ago. It had issues, but Rick and John G. were great about getting it right. Barb and I decided to purchase a hot tub this year from them after shopping around. We made the right choice - we LOVE it! Thanks again John & David at the Fircrest store.

Should have read the reviews before going to these people there still as dishonest as ever. I have been trying to get me deposit for over 6 months, Guess a trip to small claims court is in my futrue. Do not deal with these people or you will get burnt. It is to easy for the to pad the reviews in there favor. Stay away and save your money...

Highly Recommended! Great with Swimming Pools – Aqua Rec Pools and Hot Tubs deliver the full pool experience. We had been deciding between two other companies. Our pool was finished last week and we are still on cloud nine. Everything from the initial introduction, to the consultation, design, and best of all, installation of the pool has been nothing but smooth sailing and we love every minute of our new backyard! They are as creative as they are competent, and it's no surprise they've remained successful in the pool business for as long as they have. Good crew and salesperson – Had my spa fixed by Byron at Aqua Rec's that I bought from a "spa manufacturer" in the Des Moines area. The thing was always leaking and used incredibly cheap equipment. I thought I was smart and getting a lot of jets for my money. Like a knothead, I realized later that all equipment and parts are not the same - Byron used Mercedes vs. Kia comparison. No kidding, I felt really dumb not doing my homework. The sales guy at Puyallup store (David) was great and knowledgeable. They gave me a trade in and I got a new Marquis hot tub. It's awesome, and three times more powerful than the old one. Lesson learned - quality matters.

Letter of appreciation – Mr. Kovacs,

A letter of appreciation to you and your entire crew for the great service we received during the choosing, purchase, and installation of our pellet stove. I grew up as a shop-keeper's son and have been in the business world, both owning my own business & working in sales and management for over 45 years. Rarely, in my career, have I experienced a business which is as consistent in it's quality of service and customer relations that your Puyallup Avenue facility has shown.

Specifically, our initial contact, Rick, was instrmental in assisting us choose the right pellet stove for our situation. He went above and beyond in the sale with great advise on the basics of how to maintain the unit to get the best out of it. When we had a few problems, he, without hesitation, took care of our needs immediately. To find a sales person who knows his product plus acts on problems in a customer friendly manner is a rarity in this day and age.

Your installation crew did an installation that is perfect in every detail without a single mar, scar or "oops" and went on to explain the various functions and safety procedures that we needed to observe. They were prompt, efficient and left our home spotless when done.

Due to a slight problem, a year later, your repair person, Ryan, came to our home and went through step-by-step, the long term maintenance that we can perform on a regular basis. He was thorough and had a very pleasant and professional attitude.

We buy the 40-lb. sacks of pellets by the pallet and each and every time we go to your warehouse, your yard men are efficient and friendly. They always have my vehicle loaded before I can even back from signing off in your office.

I want to let you know that you and your entire team are "doing it right" and I hope that, by referral alone, your business flourishes. Your firm is excellent...please make sure that your very high standard remains in effect.

Customer Service Breakdown – We ordered a free standing gas fireplace the week prior to New Years. The salesman told us we could have the stove installed within 2 -3 weeks. we are now at mid march and our stove is just now being installed.

Customer Services needs improvement.

STAY AWAY from AquaRec – We used AquaWreck at our complex for pool maintenance. Big mistake. They are dishonest. Their people would not keep the required log for pool chemicals, then come back and fill it in months later, charging us for chemicals they never put in the pool. They installed a double drain improperly and it did not work. They installed a panic alarm that didin't work. They resurfaced the pool and it is horribly stained. They refuse to stand by their work. They are COMPLETELY dishonest and unreliable. Do not use these people if you value your money and your pool. They suck.

Aqua Rec Delivers! – I want to thank Bruce and the Aqua Rec team for building our gorgeous swimming pool. Not only did the finish product exceed our expectations; the team at Aqua Rec made the experience enjoyable. It is rare to experience a large scale construction project that goes off without a hitch - THIS WAS IT, schedule, quality and budget all on the mark.! And the credit definetly goes to Aqua Rec. We bid all the big pool companies for our large pool project and we chose Aqua Rec based on the secure feeling we got during the bid process that they would do right by us. They delivered on all levels We would highly recommend them to anyone for any scale pool project.
