BEWARE! Awful Customer Service, Poorly Trained Staff.
I went there for color and a haircut. Although I had an appointment with her, Jerri refused to color my hair as she had to "go home to [her] baby." She rudely and abrasively asked me if I was recommended to her. When I replied that I was not recommended, she rushed over to the front desk and had me switched to another colorist, upstairs. That should have been my cue to leave. The girl who colored my hair upstairs, (I cannot recall her name), did a horrendous job on my hair. I asked her to try and get my blonde, highlighted hair as close to my natural, medium blonde as possible. This woman left me unattended downstairs in the waiting area with color on my hair for about an hour and no one came to check on me. As I inquired about someone..anyone at this point..to please assist me and wash the color off my hair before it becomes too dark, I was told to wait longer for the original colorist. My hair came out a very dark brown/red and was entirely ruined. No one offered to fix this inexperienced colorist's job and the salon did not offer any other option. I was told that "this is what [I] asked for." However, a medium blonde and dark brown/red are quite different and it was surely not what I had wanted or asked for. Lenny did my haircut and he was very experienced and educated in hair. Although I appreciated his skill and sentiment over my unhappiness with the color, he did not speak to the owner about my situation and did not help me rectify it.
The front desk staff had awful customer service skills and did not even offer for me to leave my number and speak to the owner (as the owner apparently left half way through my haircut). I then myself left my number at the front desk and asked to please have the owner call me. No one ever called!
Save your money and go to other salons in the area that offer similar prices but a much better environment and well trained staff who will not butcher your hair!
A spa right here in Livingston. I have been to Dieci often in the past few years. I have had facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and haircuts here. I have never left disappointed. The only drawback is that everyone is so beautiful that I sometimes feel inferior. But everyone is very nice and helpful.
The Best Salon and Spa in Around!. When I have an important event to attend, I turn to Dieci Lifestyle Spa to make me look my best. Dieci is a full Service Salon and Spa. So, if you want to look fabulous for your night out on the town or you just want to be pampered give the girls at Dieci a Call!
Just ok. I went there for a massage. The treatment itself was fine. However, the atmosphere doesn't compare to the Spa at Short Hills or Depasquale. The parking lot is cramped and I noticed the valet parks cars very very close. I am a bit protective of my car and this made me a bit uncomfortable. This was the first place I have been to in a while where I wasn't asked by anyone if I enjoyed the treatment after the massage, and the checkout attendant somewhat abruptly informed me that tips had to be left at a different location than the checkout counter (which is fine, but since tips are usually desirable to therapist the attendant could have been nicer about it). The location is good, and the prices are a little lower than the others around here, but the service doesn't quite compare.

When I moved to Livingston, NJ in the 4th grade is when I began going. Eventually Nikki Miller became my go-to stylist, and I only stopped going twice a week for blowouts (and every 6 or so weeks for trims). The only reason for this is that I now live in NYC, but I do still go to Nikki for my cuts and whenever I'm in NJ to see family I make an appointment with her. Yes, she's that good. I've seen practically everybody else at Dieci though! For blowouts, I like Nikki, Alyssa Bini, Sandy, Kristin, Shayna, Abbey... The assistants are also good for last-minute appointments. After all, that's how I first got my hair done by the now-stylists, when they started as assistants. The more experience a stylist has, the more expensive. When I first started going to Nikki, I paid $25. Now for a 30-minute appointment I pay $50 ($60 for 45-mins). So if you call to make an appointment and you don't recognize the name, who cares? Try it out. They're always well-trained and certified and can be less expensive than you were willing to pay.
Other services I've had: Airbrush Tanning (it's the most natural I've ever had -- even in NYC I had to go home and scrub myself for fear of walking out in public); Massages here are also relaxing, to the point where a gift card for an hour massage here is the ideal gift for anyone when I'm in a pinch (but if you're gonna get your hair done, do it AFTER the massage, because even when they don't touch your scalp, you walk out feeling like your hair is greasy from the oils on your neck); Manicures and Pedicures seem so good that when I would go for my blowout appointments, I'd see the same people getting their nails done weekly. I love this place so much I have TWO "Dieci" black shirts!
