Made-to-order breakfasts---including over a dozen unique flapjacks---stack the odds in this restaurant's favor..
In Short
Founded in Oregon circa 1953, this simply-furnished spot owes its success to its creative menu and fresh ingredients. Batters are made on the premises; a special "sourdough starter" keeps treats from tasting overly sweet. Patrons choose from eggs, waffles, crepes and oven-baked omelets, as well as signature plates like blueberry pancakes (served with or without compote), giant cinnamon-glazed apple pancakes, thin and chewy "49-ers" and the air-filled, lemon-and-sugar-topped "Dutch Baby."

The worst customer service ever!.
I can understand not wanting to take reservations on the weekened, but when you have a party of 18, I would think a reservation would be necessary in order to sit together. I walked in at 12:20 gave my name and how many people, I was told no problem, there was a big party that just started eating and when they were done that would be the area we would occupy. At 1:30pm the party was leaving and I figured ok know we will be seated, but to my surprise even though we were told we would be next on the list, the owner Peter had the tables split up and sat 18 other peple down that had come in after us. When I confronted Peter he was very unprofessional! My feeling was or the way he made me feel was they wanted people in and out of there quick to make more money! The large party I had would sit and take up space and time.
Honestly I had called three weeks prior to my Daughters Birthday, I was told they didn't take reservations but there would be no problem accomadating us. There would be a wait ,but they have the room for a party that large I even called that morning and told them we were coming, no one said we can not accomadate you they said ok when you get here we will put your name on the list and when the side room opens up that is were you will be seated. My name was on the list, I was number it was 70, people in the 90's were being seated 1st ,but when Peter the owner or whomever he was stepped in he made a mistake and instead of accommadating me he was nasty to not only me but my family, if your running a business you should be aware of whats going on he was clueless. As for the food , this time I left and went somewhere else which by the way was excellent!!!! You can get breakfast anywhere he is not the only ball game in town! Final conclusion this place is not worth the wait obviously unorganized and not very accomadating! 10 thumbs down!!!!!
