I've been a happy Sonic Creations
customer for over two years. I've made several major purchases and many smaller ones. I have also had a few minor service repairs. My experience with that is, if Shane is not already engaged in a time sensitive project he will give you his immediate attention. Once he even stopped by on his way home from work to inspect my instrument so I wouldn't have to bring it in the next day. I don't know where you can get service any better than that.
Throughout my association with Sonic Creations I have known them to give nothing but good, solid service and competitive pricing. The atmosphere in their store is relaxed and there is no sales pressure at all. It's a joy to be there and experience musicians just being musicians.
One thing I witnessed that I believe typifies a Sonic Creations experience. Shane had just sold an acoustic guitar. The customer then requested a new set of strings. Shane said he had just put new strings on three days before and the guitar hadn't been played that much since. The customer was satisfied that the guitar didn't need new strings.
Shane had sacrificed one set of strings he didn't really need to just to give the guitar its best sound and he talked himself out of a sale on another set of strings to give the customer the kind of service he would expect for himself.
That is the kind of attention to detail that goes to the marrow of Sonic Creations' business creed.
Sonic Creations has been the best customer service experience I have had. Because of thier lay away option, I have been able to furnish my children with many instruments that otherwise would have been out of my range. Their prices are competitive and their instruments are quality. The brands they carry have been carefully chosen for quality and affordability. My daughter LOVES her mahogany top Breedlove acoustic, and anyone who hears it loves it too. This store is committed to the local community, and to its customers. I am a loyal customer, especially after giving other local instrument stores a chance. I am proud to have this locally owned music store in our town and on our Main Street.
These guys have never been dishonest to me. They cut me deals, maintain my instruments and provide good conversation during my visit. Love their little girl!
Response to Stephen A. - Stephen is a
troubled individual who is known to be unstable and for starting trouble with local business owners in Greenfield, MA.
We did nothing dishonest - Stephen was indecisive, agitated, instigatory etc. He was not dressed in uniform. He seemed to enjoy the fact that his behavior was making my wife and daughter uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Stephen did not respond to most of my questions wile in the store, he just kept saying "no Gibson, no Ibanez" over and over, and then he'd slip in another question but disregard my response.
Although Stephen did make a small purchase while in the store, he chose not to buy the shirt because we did not have one in the size he requested (guess he forgot that part). Stephen did not want a bag or a receipt when they were offered. When Stephen called the store (4 hours later) he did not respond to my initial "hello" but I could hear him saying "watch this" to whomever was in the background; when he realized I was on the phone, he immediately started making accusations, calling me a thief, so on and so forth. When it became apparent that we would not be coming to any common ground, I politely asked Stephen not to come back to our store as he is not the type of person we want to do business with. From that point, Stephen became extremely harassing; calling over and over, sometimes threatening, sometimes pretending to be someone he's not (despite the caller id). This went on for a few days till my wife and daughter were in a constant state of fear from his threats. At this point we filled a report with the local police for the harassment, Stephen was instructed by the police to stop all contact immediately.
dishonest music store.
Stole mt money pulls the last minute switch. did not put all items or receipt in bag.After checking item in parking lot. contacted owner by phone. He produce fake receipt and then continued to call 15 year old daughter , leaving me messages. said that I was "blanking" coward to his wife, she seemed afraid of him, this all going on while his 3 year old was at the store counter. I was in military uniform the at time when I bought the items. Called me about 18 times, even after mid- night. Never offered to replace or say maybe i
I was mistaken all over a 15 dollar shirt. He seems to have some anger problems. Also stated Gibson, Fender and Ibanez were inferior products. Very poor customer relation skills. Basically a dishonest person. Will not be open long. Do not deal with Sonic, you will be taken. I was going to buy a $500 dollar Base. Very poor Public relationship skills.Plans on opening new store on main next to All About You Hair cutting on Square. Stay well Clear of this store Sonic Creations!
