In Short – Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

Great Hotel BUT...

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Are you kidding me? Worst experience ever and they charged me TWICE!

by melzzz at Citysearch

Rooms were ok but the staff was LOUD every morning in the hallway. We complained every day but nothing changed. It was loud, service was poor, staff was not helpful at all. Front desk staff seemed to be brand new or something because they took forever to check us in.

Then to top it off they charged me TWICE and wouldn't return calls about the double charges. Finally I got a credit A WEEK LATER. They said they had accidently charged everyone that weekend twice.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If I didn't keep up on my bills they may not have credited me.

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: terrible administrative staff, front desk and rude service people

Better than I expected

by notdave at Citysearch

The Holidome-area rooms are nicely redone (by Holiday Inn standards) and were fresh and clean. The Dome was not quite as fresh, but the pool was clean and well-lit. The mini-golf is a little raggedy, but was good for 15 minutes of play time. The kids loved the pool, espcially the "beach entry" end for little ones. The front-desk people, at least part of the time, seemed like they fell out of the grouchy-lieing-hotel-desk-clerk mold, but the service people out in the hotel and the bar were very nice and helpful.

  • Pros: Holidome Pool, Fresh rooms, Nice people
  • Cons: Front desk, mini golf
