pricey, but nice.
I like The French. Will usually meet girlfriends here for drinks on the patio, I love being in the Old Market and this place usually has a table open on the patio even on the weekends. The cuisine is a bit out of my price range, but will eat here once in a while. Everything is very good, especially their Sunday brunch. Expect a rich, buttery meal. Very comforting food. Eclectic place.

funky cafe.
Set in the old market area of Omaha, this is an atmospheric cafe restaurant. Menu includes the usual steak, fish, pork offerings with some slightly SW touches. Portions are very large so come hungry. My last dinner of tenderloin came cooked as ordered along with asparagus and scalloped potatoes. All very well done, albeit plain. Service is casual. Waitresses do not seem very knowledgeable about wines. In fact our last one could not/had not used a cork screw before! A very pleasant place for occasion dining. Oh yes, nice aray of desserts including cheesecake, white chocolate mousse, chocolate decadance. PS. Modern paintings of women sans clothing adorn the walls.
