Unprofessionalism of the highest order. I put down a deposit for a wedding cake and cookies. Before my first tasting, I left her a message that I wanted to discuss which flavors I would try, but she never called me back. On the day of the tasting, I ended up getting whatever she deemed appropriate without any input from me. When I said that I did not like one particular type of cake, she became defensive. At the second tasting, I asked to taste cake fillings, and she said that she would leave them at the bakery for me for me to pick up, but they were not there when I arrived. When I attempted to negotiate what I felt were too-high prices, she again became very curt and defensive with me. She purchased a cake stand without my go-ahead and then tried to stick me with an unreasonable rental fee for it. I asked twice for an itemized cost estimate for my wedding cake, but never received one. Still, I attempted to work with her because I was running out of time. Then, without warning, she bailed on me by refunding my deposit. She did not offer any explanation. Now I am stuck without a baker just eight weeks before my wedding. NIGHTMARE!
