A must experience when in Boone!. I live about 2 hours away from Boone and Makoto's is the first place I eat when I get to make the trip up to Boone. The food is sooo good! The filet mignon is well worth the price and the shrimp sauce makes the meal complete. The chefs are very interactive and have many tricks. Try Makoto's the next time you are in Boone!

Best Shrimp Sauce!. Always a must when I'm in town! Seating is shared with about 10 or so people. Food is cooked in front of you with a bit of entertainment as a shrimp is flipped into a hat or big fire flashes before your eyes. Meal price includes soup, salad, entree, and a fortune cookie. Recommend the steak and sesame chicken. Love saturating the carrots and rice in shrimp sauce!
