Styaed here over 12 years and love it,,,,. My family has vacationed at the Jolly Roger Pier Motel for the past 12 years and truthfully is isn't 5 star but with many new renovations and upgrades are just bonus for us. We go to the beach to enjoy the ocean and sand, not a fancy hotel. Staff are always pleasant, helpful and friendly. The view from your balcony is spectacular, sunrise or sun set. Fishing or a stroll on the pier, a hot dog from the hotel grill, a short walk to a fun acarde put put area and many shops and restaurants makes the location primo. If you're looking for wild, party, crowded place to go Topsail isn't from you. It's a quiet fun family beach where you can go and relax and enjoy the beach.

the most beautiful view of the beach!. Great view of the ocean. Small putt-putt, arcade, ice cream across the street. Not alot to do but enjoy the ocean, which makes it so wonderful. We were able to see a huge sea turtle on the beach, crabs, jelly fish, sea urchins. It's so queit and peaceful...My kids loved it and said they would much rather go to Topsail again than Myrtle Beach. I've been going for all of my 36 years and have so many wonderful memories! Jolly Roger is an older hotel but the staff's great. It's a perfect location, and the pier is wonderful!!!

fishing haven. I've been to topsail island many times over the last 10 years and stayed at several places all over the island. The Jolly Roger has lots of charm. Just remember to turn on your dehumidifier as soon as you enter the room. It will take away the musty smell and allow you to really enjoy your visit. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are of a good size, unlike many of the different places I have stayed on the island 'some of which were so cramped that I actually came home with bruises from bumping into things' but not at the Jolly Roger. It's very hard to find handicap accessible accomodations on the island at reasonable prices. Here you not only get both you also have the quaint old style charm, polite and curtious staff, and the wonderful experience of pier fishing just outside the door. It's within walking distance of the best breakfast place on the island as well as several great place to eat lunch or dinner and their hotdogs are out of this world. We truely enjoyed our visit last year and look forward to our visit the last week of May this year.

Oudated accommadations but breath taking views. The accommodations are below average, but it's just a outdated, sometimes stinky, meager, plain simple bed and tv but the view of the coast is breathtaking. If you love a quiet, family friendly, beautiful beach, Topsail Island is the place for you
