I love this place and have even going here for years. I've had multiple people do my hair. They are all talented and I have never been disappointed! I'm not surprised they have been voted #1 in wilmington for so many years. Great job bamgz crew!

Horrible experience!!! My husband set up an appointment with the owner Linwood for a special day to get my hair cut and highlighted. He has over 20 years of experience and yet the original highlight job looked like someone in their first year. The highlight was at least 2 inches from my root and looked two months grown out. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him attempt to fix it. He reprocessed my hair with more blonde and now my whole head is blonde not what I wanted at all. The best part is that after the reprocessing my hair is dry damaged and looks like it is melted away at the ends of each highlight. Can you say rookie mistake??!! I am no hair expert but that is why I put my trust in him and never once did he make a suggestion against what he was doing! Now my hair is far from what I wanted and is so damaged that I now have to cut it all off. To make matters worse I went in for the fourth time in an attempt to get my money back and came face to face with Linwood. Lets just say he has no sense of business because the whole time he told me that I was wrong and that my hair looked that bad the first time I came in to see him. He tried to bully me out of the store with 100 dollars worth of product or conditioning treatments! An overall awful experience and I will not be back. I highly suggest that you like twice before putting yourself in the hands of Linwood.

I just moved to Wilmington from NYC and tried a few salons in town but I was never really happy with the stylist work. A friend told me about Bangz and how they had won an award for being "the best in wilmington." My friend suggested I see Katie and she was totally awesome! She basically had to fix what other people had messed up and my hair looks and feels awesome. She was very through and I see her every 6 weeks now. I went back to NYC to my old stylist to get a bang trim and ever he commented on how great my hair looked. Bangz is so diverse with their stylist and they really seem to like one another and help each other out. This is a truly upscale salon that has the talent and customer service skills to back up its best of award. =)

Don't recommend.. The place is a noisy, disorganized warehouse full of apprentices, assistants, and stylists. There isn't anything upscale about the place except the prices they charge.

Best hair cut ever!. New to the Wilmington area and needed to find a hair salon. Chose Bangz and they gave me an appt w/ Angela. I was nervous about someone new doing my hair, as most women, I have a lot of "hair issues", ie very thick, fine hair w/ LOTS of cow licks! Angela took the time to talk to me, find out what I wanted in a hair cut but more importantly what I didn't like about my hair, etc. She gave me the best hair cut in my life and seriously, I am not exaggerating!! Even my husband thinks this is the best hair cut I've ever had. It's been 2 weeks since I was there and it's growing out beautifully. The salon was clean, personable and I liked the stylists hair cut. There's nothing worse than going to a salon and the stylists have bad hair!! It was a busy salon (which is a good sign) but not in a hectic, get you in get you out, kind of way. I lived in Chicago for 18 years and I'm used to high end salons. This salon was a nice mix. I totally recommend this salon and Angela :)

Not Mom Friendly. Well, I showed up for my appointment (this was a while ago, mind you) with my newborn (sleeps round the clock) baby. I was told that the salon is not "child friendly". That I was not allowed to have my baby in the salon (is this a law I'm not aware of? Certainly not!).

While I understand the concept of "treating oneself", and having a luxurious experience, I find it hard to believe that you could achieve this here regardless of a sleeping baby laying near you or not.

I left, I will not return. No hard feelings, just moving on!

Mom's deserve good service too!

Nice Experiences. Love this Salon and MY Hair Stylist Bettina.

She takes such great care of me and she does have assistants to assist with rinses and shampoos but she usually tries to spend time with her customers herself.

LOVE Ken too. This man knows how to shape eyebrows. He's the BEST in Town!

Best Salon in town, yeah it's busy but I would be scared if they weren't.

Best salon in town!. I have been going to Bangz for 5 YEARS and feel that I am privileged to have my hair styled by such talent. In response to Miss NOWAYHOSAY....I'm sorry...but there is no Jason there...nor has there ever been. You don't have any idea what you're talking about! Bangz has been there for 18 years or so for good reason...they're the best. I have seen other salons come and go...but Bangz has staying power because they're talented! Go back to the chop shop you came from because that seems to be where you belong.

Mass Production Hair Factory Quantity over Quality. Worse Friggin' Hair style ever in My entire life! Too short, Uneven even with my instructions.How this guy has a license to cut hair amazes me. If I see Jason with a pair of scissors again I'll run faster than running from Jason from Friday the 13th. Too noisy, too many people, high production, high price, low quality

PERIOD!

My advice: Find a smaller place, more space per customer. a real stylist that listens to you and who wants your feedback as opposed to "Knowing what's Best for you" in their mind.

Red Flags: Stylist or "Butcher" who moves you around and saws through your hair at a manic pace as if you were some test dummy.

WHERE TO GO?. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO BANGZ FOR AROUND 2 YEARS. EVERY TIME I GO TO BANGZ I GET GREAT SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN TO 4 DIFFERENT SALONS BEFORE I TRIED BANGZ, OUT OF ALL OF THEM I WOULD RECOMMEND BANGZ, BECAUSE OF THEIR GREAT SERVICE AND FREINDLY STAFF. I THINK THEY ARE DOING A WONDERFUL JOB, AND HOPE THEY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A REALLY GREAT HAIRCUT AND ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TAKE A DAY TO RELAX AT THE SPA.
