This lovely pink, 1848 building sits in the heart of historic Wilmington. It boasts among its former residents Henry Bacon, Jr., architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. The property is only three blocks from the Cape Fear River.
The Details
Elegant details can be found throughout the house, from dark wood trim to period furnishings to the Italian marble fireplace in the foyer. The six guest rooms are beautifully furnished, and most have their own fireplaces. Luxurious comforters, fluffy towels and snuggly robes make the accommodations cozy and welcoming. Coffee is on offer for early morning risers. The wonderful homemade breakfast includes special seasonings and relishes.

We've stayed at several B&Bs and we enjoyed the Rosehill very much and we will stay again. The house was in immaculate restored condition and located in walking distance to restaurants of Front Street. Tip: 3rd street is noisy, pick a room off of 3rd St.
