Excellent. After reading the previous review I thought they were refering to another establishment. Having lived in Florida for over 10 years after being bought up in England Devenney's serves the nearest thing to English Fish and Chips I have ever tasted in America let alone Florida. The actual price for the Fish and Chips I had was $11.95 which was so large I took some home with me. The server was efficient and very friendly. I was more than happy to seat myself as it is something I have always done when visiting pubs throughout England. I will now be visiting this place on a weekly basis. I could not reccomnend this place more
Awful food, too expensive and sad atmosphere.
The food here was awful, just awful. The fish & chips plate was nearly $16 and the quality was terrible, I could have made better at home. There was no flavor at all to the batter or the fish, it was much like eating cardboard. The Scotch eggs were fantastic, but that was about it, even the sweet tea tasted like watered down Kool-Aid!
I can live with bad food, chalk it up to the chef's bad night, but what made our visit excruiciating was the service. I don't think the server cared at all that we were there, except that perhaps we were annoying her free time. It was very odd to walk into the restaurant and seat ourselves, maybe it's the custom in other countries but it was uncomfortable.
We won;t be returning because the food was really, really bad, but the service was worse.
