Pure Relaxation. Quail Lodge and Resort was a very relaxing place to stay and just enjoy the beauty of Carmel and it's serenity. My room was very comfortable with a secluded patio area and adironack chairs. There is a wonderful pool and spa at the resort which I highly recommend you take full advantage of during your stay. The staff was accomodating, friendly and professional.

A grand facelift for a lovely old dame.. The Scene
This is one gorgeous retreat. The lodge is surrounded by 250 acres of scenic rolling hills and oak-studded meadowland. Velvety expanses of grass and lakes populated by swans complement an excellent collection of recreational facilities. Nature trails behind the award-winning 18-hole golf course invite biking, jogging, hiking and picnicking. Tennis and swimming are among the daily pursuits.

The Details
The year 2003 saw the resort reach the end of a $25 million makeover. Accommodations are done in a warm, tasteful, contemporary style; depending on your choice, they feature niceties such as Plasma screen TVs, teak patio furnishings and fireplaces. The Spa at Quail Lodge has massage rooms with French doors that open onto garden views. A selection of fine dining venues includes The Covey Restaurant, with its pretty lake view, and Edgar's. Although the latter has a dozen flat screen TVs for sports viewing, its classy setting is a far cry from your typical sports bar.
