I'm lucky to have Steve Kent as my insurance agent – Without doubt, Steve Kent’s insurance skills and friendly customer service exceeds all other insurance agents I have dealt with over the last fifty years of buying insurance.
Steve always treats me and other customers I know with dignity, respect and professionalism.
In addition, whenever I needed his services he was always accessible and immediately responsive. For example, early one Sunday morning I walked out of a motel in Arlington, Virginia to discover that my automobile tire was slashed and completely flat. On vacation with just a donut spare tire and no credit card, I was stunned. I telephoned Steve in Greensboro and he said “Don’t worry about it; I’ll call you back in about an hour.” When he called back, he gave me directions to a tire dealer open that Sunday morning who could replace my premium tire. And thanks to Steve, the dealer greeted me saying the insurance company would pay the bill. Steve also helped me on three other occasions involving a fallen tree, broken storm windows, and automobile damages caused by debris flying off a big dump truck that failed to stop. I never saw the fallen tree and broken windows because he handled those claims while I was in Atlanta.
Unlike other agents, Steve doesn’t hesitate to advise me when I can save money on a policy. Earlier this year, he explained why I didn’t need to add a clause to a policy that would raise my premiums.
Steve also spent much time educating my daughter about various insurance needs she should consider before moving to Seattle with two cars and other property. He also helped her find an excellent agent in Seattle.
In short, Steve Kent is an insurance agent you will be comfortable with and have confidence that he takes customer service seriously. I’m lucky to have him as my agent.
Wonderful Help Since 1987-Family & Friends – Of all my agents from California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio, Stephen Kent has assisted me with more troubling claims and less hassle. From a stolen class ring, to a hail-damaged roof, to a tree falling on the house, to a few fender benders ....he made life a lot easier.
He has helped my wife and daughter when I was travelling and not available for them. He even assisted my daughter when she was new to Atlanta and unable to locate a trustworthy agent or repair shop.
He was always available to speak directly with me when I called his office. If not then, he would even return my calls after hours, or on weekends. It didn't matter where I was physically at the time.
I have referred him to my elderly neighbors, my daughter's friends, and my own professional associates. In every case, they have thanked me for the wonderful assistance they have received directly, or from his very experienced staff.
And I just expected them to be thanking me for saving them on their previous premiums or replacing an agent that was never in their office.
Longstanding customer is treated disturbingly. – I had a life insurance policy with Stephen W Kent's Agency for more than twenty years. My longstanding trust was used unethically, putting me into a seriously compromising position with this agency.
I was offered money to do things that I said I did not want to do. These offers crossed the lines of what is professional and ethical. I was treated without any respect as a customer and as a woman.
I live on a low income and was told that these offers were made as a way of financially helping me. These offers and other interactions were severely disturbing forcing me to leave this agency in December, 2009.
I most certainly would not refer anyone to Stephen W. Kent Insurance Agency, particularly females. My experience with this agency is the most negative and disturbing experience I've ever had with a business.
