Tips for Hibernation Station

June 13, 2013

I would definitely reccomend staying here; these cabins were right outside the West Yellowstone entrance. The cabin we stayed in was 800 sq feet, and had a kitchen fully equipped with dishes, pans, etc. It had a gas log fire place as well. We stayed one night, but wish it would have been more! We were just passing through Yellowstone on our way to Hamilton, MT so we didn't have much time. I would stay here again.

I like the cabins, and the people are always very nice. I love the outdoor hot tub. It will always be my #1 choice to stay.

Hibernation Station, we stayed there for 3 nights just left today and it was just an amazing experience. The facility is wonderful, well-run, the staff is excellent and extremely helpful. We certainly plan to come back. Thank you

Just returned from a snowmobiling vacation in West Yellowstone, MT. Was very fortunate to get to stay at Hibernation Station where their cabin ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our cabin was very cozy and warm and lots of room. It had all the amenities you could ask for. We would ride during the day and come home to a great cozy warm cabin. Their was plenty of room for our large enclosed snow-machine trailer. The Management couldnt have been nicer and treated us like family. We will absolutely be back.

I stayed at the Hibernation Station with my family and visited Yellowstone National Park. We saw most of the sites we wanted to see in Yellowstone and returned to our Cosy room each night. My kids loved the queen bunk beds. The rooms were clean and really nicely decorated. It gave us the real feeling of being in the mountains, yet they were extremely comfortable and luxurious.

What a cool place this was! My wife and I loved the themed rooms (we had a "fishing" theme), the staff was friendly and inviting and we will definately be going back. It's only a mile(ish) outside of the West Yellowstone entry gate making it very convenient if you want to spend several days exploring the park. The full kitchen allowed us to cook at the hotel and save a ton of money by not going out to eat. The man that checked us in couldn't have been friendlier, he wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. They also have some cool statues around the property that's fun to take pictures of with children.

Loved the feel of the cabin. Homey and warm! The woodcarving was spectacular. Ask to see available rooms to pick which 'theme' you like. Room, bathroom, kitchenette very clean and up to date with all the amenities needed for our week stay, including a closet and dresser drawers. Staff, very friendly and nice. Location, if you're looking for West Yellowstone, very convenient just outside the West entrance. Also enjoyed the town of West Yellowstone, best shaved ice ever (across from grocery store on side street)! Canyon Street Grille YUM. Quaint town, nice people!

My sister and I stayed here for a few days the first part of June, and I can not think of anything to complain about. I called ahead and they even added a coffemaker in our room for our stay.

Unfortunately, due to weather we became trapped an extra day and they not only gave us a room for an extra day, but gave us an upgraded cabin for the same price we had paid for a smaller one the previous 4 nights.

People complain about being in a parking lot which is totally exagerated. There is not a lot of foliage, but it beats staying in a hotel that you can find down any street. Cabins are warm and comfy with gracious baths and fit the area.

I would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
