I recently dropped $120 on some danskos here. I was on the fence about the shoes but the "professional" shoe fitter there insisted that they were fitted right. She knew I was concerned and told me to put duct tape on the bottom so I could return them within 7 days if I didn't like them. Well that made them dangerously slippery. These are the worst shoes I have ever owned, and on top of that they customer service....there isn't any to speak of. I contacted the company and they told me to talk to the store. So no help what so ever. What was I told in the end after many emails, phone calls and conversations? I could donate them to a local charity. Thanks for nothing jainlee and dansko.
Wonderful experience – I went here on a mission to buy the Vibram shoes because my neighbor had gotten them from this store. I drove over an hour hoping to find these shoes. The woman there was so sweet. She is from overseas and is still learning English, but she was very helpful. She explained the differences between the running shoes that I was trying on. I was able to pick out the perfect pair in such short time, due to all the attention she gave me, that I had time for my three year old son to try on shoes also. We left happy with two pairs of shoes.
CUSTOMERS NOT WELCOME AT JAINLEE – The disrespectful and dismissive way Dave Kelbauth answered wontBhassled seems to bee Jainlee regular way of doing business; his example is faithfully followed by his employees. Early this month (May) I went to the Jainlee store. I was shocked at the dismissive treatment with which the store clerks met me. I was alone in the tiny store, yet was treated as if I was a nuisance. But here is the beauty of Capitalism: I took my business to another store! The best thing one can do is to take one's business to other stores, since Jainlee is not the only one that sells Crocs--AND let Crocs know the way customers are treated at Jainlee. Now, Mr. Kelbauth, how many of these "40,000 happy customers" returned to your store to purchase more items?
2 Sides To Every Story – There are two sides to every story, I will give one regarding wontBhassled's Review.
A lady walks into our store with a very used pair of shoes, with no receipt or proof of purchase, with a broken snap, and DEMANDS a brand new pair of shoes.
My employee offers to replace the snap without charge.
The lady complains that the snap is black, not brass colored. The employee offers to install black snap until brass snaps arrive from manufacturer.
The lady starts yelling and cussing at employee, so employee calls me for help.
Lady gets on our phone and immediately starts yelling at me, demanding a new pair of shoes or "She's going to complain to everyone until she gets her shoes," which she obviously has done.
I should point out that JAINLEE stores will sell over 40,000 pairs of CROCS in 2009. We have 40,000 happy customers this year, and one, who probably isn't even our customer (Probably an Internet shopper.), who isn't happy.
As I explained to this lady that our other customers with a broken snap accepted our remedy (Which is just a handful of cases.), the lady stated: "I'm better than all your other customers."
As this lady hung up on me, she proceeded to cuss and scream inside the store so much, my employee had to call Mall Security.
In summary, all I can say is that I am a retailer, not a psychiatrist.
EDIT: July 29, 2010
Dear jainlee sucks, as opposed to signing up on a new e mail account, I'll respond to your question here:
Your first complaint, 2009, 40,000 pair.
Your 2010 complaint, over 50,000, including your fake complaint for our Sandusky store.
I would say this additional 10,000 pair came because all your complaining... created interest.
WARNING: stay away from this poor excuse for a business – If I could give zero stars I would!! The owner Dave Kelbauth is an arrogant rude man who yelled at me over the phone because I unfortunately bought a pair of $60 crocs and 1 week later the straps broke on BOTH pairs the same day (sounds like a defect to me) and he not only refused to cooperate by exchanging the shoes or even fixing them he told me "It does not bother me in the least what I think of this store" . Do yourself a favor and shop for crocs somewhere else. Currently I have written to the better business bearou, Crocs Inc, Jainlee Inc, and the Erie Times Newspaper. I am a smart consumer and will do my best to stop this guy from ripping people off. Please take your business elsewhere. Who knows how many people this guy has already ripped off.
