VIOLENCE IN BEAUTY SHOP AFTER ASKING FOR SERVICE.
I WAS JUMPED BY FIVE EMPLOYEES AT SASHELVIS, SILVER SPRINGS, MD - After I questioned a service with my hair. All five women assaulted me and restricted my acess to leave. I am strongly oppose to the violence that the employees inflicted on me.
This is the first Dominican hair salon that I have experienced this type of treatment and the police did not seem to be surprised.
Is there anyone in the SilverSprings, MD that have experienced any such treatment or negative experiences with this salon? I am very interested in hearing your story. A paying customer should not be penalized, harassed and verbally and physicallly harmed in any public business.
This ocurred on 09/02/2010, if anyone walked by or witnessed this incident, please write a review.
5 for HAIR, 2 for SERVICE.
The salon staff are okay, they are not nice or friendly I’d rate them as Neutral. They do not cater at all to their mostly African American clientele. They do not even attempt to establish any rapport or influence good feelings that will keep you coming back. The staff speaks very limited English, which is very frustrating. I can’t even get a response from the stylist regarding my hair’s health. I need an interpreter.
They do however use good product. The egg conditioner is the bomb. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the strength and silky texture of my hair. If you are looking for bells and whistles, no Dominican Salon is for you. However, if you are looking for strong manageable hair, give them a try. If I could find any other salon albeit black, white or otherwise that can have my hair as silky, straight and manageable as they do, with better customer service and better communication I'd definitely switch. I have no customer loyalty to this salon. Nothing there gets me all warm and fuzzy. I go to the Bowie location.
