It costs MORE. I checked online today and Clearwire costs MORE than my current Bellsouth DSL and it's also slower. Cheapest price for Clearwire was $55 monthly plus $5.99 for the modem. That's NOT a good deal.

Savings up to $40 monthly. I just think it’s super fast. It’s never ever gone down for me…so far it’s been a great savings for us as well because we don’t have to have the home phone. We’re saving about probably $40 a month.

self-install kits. No technicians or confusing self-install kits will be needed as installation will be a snap. Since there's no wiring involved, you can place your modem & router in the area in your home that is most convenient and has the best signal strength.

consistent all the way. I only have had the clear internet service for a few days but I can tell you it is a great service. I live in Houston and the connection is good 5-7 Mbps down. I have been playing online gaming with PS3 and it is great even with heavy rain no disconnection or lag, very consistent all the way.

I wasn't going to argue any more and fired them.. I finally fired Clear after a few months. I really wanted to give them my money, but they just couldn't deliver. It worked great for a couple of months, and then I started having problems. The modem kept dropping the connection (as much as 5-10 times per hour for 5 minutes each!). I gave their tech support many chances to fix it. First, they gave me a new modem, Then, they kept trying to tell me it was my router (but the problem occurred when my router was not plugged in!), or the rain on the tree leaves (it hadn't rained in 2 weeks!), or that the modem was pointing in the wrong direction (I tried them all!). They would not send a tech out because my signal was too strong (4-5 bars), never mind that the signal wouldn't stay on consistently. In the end they insisted it was my router and would not listen to reason -- if the problem occurs when the router is not even on, then it's not the router. At that point, I decided I wasn't going to argue any more and fired them.

Clear works really well in my condo. So far it's fantastic. It works really well in my condo, and I'm now using it at work for the first time, and it's coming through great. I just got the mobile, and that'll do me just fine for $45 a month, no taxes, no increases ever!

Clear downloads files at around 50kB/s. Clear downloads files at around 50kB/s. That is a top speed. That is a bad top speed. It is a complete waste of money and does not even remotely match up to what it was supposed to be. I AM VERY, VERY ANGRY AT HOW OFTEN IT GOES OUT OF COMMISSION. Every time it rains, I lose my internet. Cloudy day? Things slow waaaaaaay down. I even had to reload this page several times and wait 10 minutes to get it to pull up so that I could write this angry complaint. DO NOT USE CLEAR, unless, of course you want to WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BAD INTERNET.

work from anywhere within the city. Clear Internet is awesome! I've had it since it first came out and I have been more than satisfied with the service. I run and E-commerce business and I have never had a faster mobile Internet, I can work from anywhere within the city!
