Great value. Old fashioned REAL restaurant. Nothing but good food at good prices. This kind of restaurant is getting harder and harder to find. Really good food, well prepared in a nice atmosphere and resonably priced. No wonder it is always crowded and it is easy to see why
Best place for lunch or early dinner. AMAZING. What a find. Their lunch menu is not only cheap but great food with huge portions. The bread that they serve is my absolute favorite (they bring it out for you while you look over the menu) and even better dipped in their olive oil home-made feta mix. My first time I ordered the baked lamb, expecting the lunch portion to be minimal....little did I know that I would be getting a whole amazingly cooked lamb. Absolutely fantastic! I also recommend the Combination Platter that includes the best moussaka I have ever had.
Straightforward Mediterranean classics, served in the shadow of Watertown's Arsenal Mall..
The Scene
This traditional Greek restaurant keeps local families, many of them from the mother country, coming back for dependable interpretations of standards. The casual dining room is filled most nights, and many of those waiting for a table pass the time in the surprisingly handsome, well-stocked bar. Congenial waiters seem to know many a patron by name.
The Food
Large portions plus reasonable prices equals many local favorites. Greek specialties include flaky spinach pies, ground beef and eggplant casserole, and tasty kebabs of beef, chicken and lamb. Entrees are served with a flavorful Greek salad and fluffy rice pilaf or roasted potatoes. From the extensive seafood menu, shrimp and broccoli are served over rice, while fresh scrod is broiled with a light coating of bread crumbs and then brushed with margarine. Desserts like a mocha cappuccino tart are on the lighter side.
Excellent!. The food was excellent, the portions liberal, and the Greek wines authentic (and good). The experience exceeded my expectations. Expect to spend about $65 for dinner for two - main dish with a salad, a bottle of wine, and one appetizer. I'll be back on a regular basis.
Well worth the trip. If you want real Greek food try the Aegean. Its comforting to always see a large Greek customer population. Just on the outskirts of the city it is in a relaxed neighborhood without all the stress of driving to downtown. Friendly wait staff and reasonable prices add to its charm!
Random choice but the right one.. Nice romantic atmosphere, good food and portions, and very reasonable wine prices. If you like Greek food you'll be very happy here. The rack of lamb was perfect, as was the chicken cutlet my girlfriend had. They start you off with a bread basket with an olive oil and feta cheese mix nicely spiced. Wonderful menu selections, almost need a bottle of wine while you decide. Highly recommended!
Great Place for Greek Food. The place is great if you want real greek food. The food taste good and alot of choice from seafood, meat and appetizers. Good service and you feel really comfortable there.
Great Food with not so great service. Food was excellent. Extensive food and wine menu but the service was lacking a bit.
