Kristin is simply the best. Hands down, I would travel to have her do my extensions,lucky for me she's close. She is so good it's crazy. I always wanted to have thick blond hair, a la California surfer girl chick- and natural looking! not fake bimbo extensions. And she did it. I met her at an event out and about in Boston for about 5 minutes. My friend said she should do my extensions, I wondered how seeing me for 5 minutes in a dark crowded environment she could match my hair , my friend who is a singer/performer said just trust me, I went to her and she did it, she used different colors and now I am hooked. The hair makes such a difference, because you can go out of the house, not feel great and your hair is always fantastic, it's such a self-esteem booster! I love this amazingly talented woman!!!! Kudos to Jathar Salon and Spa.

I have been getting hair extensions for years. Until I found Kristin at Jathar, I never knew what it was like to actually LOVE having hair extensions! I tried 3 other stylists, before her and I will never go anywhere else. THE BEST!!!

I get my haircut here and it is great. Kristin cuts my hair and she is amazing. She really listens and always cuts my hair the way I want it. Also, it is a very beautiful and peaceful salon, very open and airy and its a pleasure to be in the space.

Everyone is friendly and always so accommodating. The salon is decorated with class and portrays comfort along with a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend Jathar Salon & Spa, you won't be disappointed. Pros: Best cut & color in town

I make the 40 minute drive every 3-4 weeks, sometimes more to get everything I need. Being at Jathar is like being treated like a celebrity. Its a one stop shop! The atmosphere is calming, the staff treat you like family. I have never had a bad expierience and people are always asking me where i go!! I tell them Jathar and no one has ever turned back.

From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a smiling face! She actually took my coat and escorted me to the waiting area and offered to make my espresso. They have a 15 drink coffee bar! My stylist came out to greet me, everyone that walks by you smiles. You are instantly comfortable. I am always intimidated by salons and all the "beautiful people" in them. She listened to me, did more than what I asked for and actually gave me a lesson on how to do it. That was a first! Then she offered me a discount card for next time for other services I had never had done in there. When I asked if I could just use it that day, she asked her manager to make sure. The manager actually came over to me and insured me that not only could I use it, I would be so happy with the results. She also told me she was happy I was getting a discount! Who is happy you are getting a discount!? That is real service. I will go there faithfully and recommend everone I know. It is few and far between that you are excited to refer someone to a business!! Good job Jathar, all around! Pros: price, parking,comfort, professionalism

Yay, Finally someone gets it :) This is how a Salon should be. I have to say I went here today for the first time and loved it! From the moment i walked in the door,everyone was so friendly. I was offerred Coffee ,Tea or a Latte from their coffe bar while I waited,(mmm Vanilla Latte= Heaven) The ambiance is gorgeous, very trendy and relaxing,everything you would want in a Salon/Spa atmosphere,which is so important to me The staff was friendly and genuine, my stylist was very sweet and great. I left feeling like a million dollars. I loved my cut and color she did a fantastic job. Extra bonus,they have a little boutique attached,where i picked up the cutest pair of jeans...The right hairstyle along with finding the right outfit for this weekend,i struck gold I will definetly be returning and recommend this salon for those looking for the full treatment

Kristen is the first stylist to ever know how to color my hair so that it looks natural, but alive and shiny and amazing! She is better than any hair expert on Newbury. I walked in there and the receptionist was so nice and friendly. The waiting room was clean, had snacks, and featured an espresso machine. When I sat in Kristen's chair, she transformed me from an exhausted specimen into a ravishing blonde. So much fun! She helped me grow my hair out (after years of trying). She is so good that I still go to her even though I moved out of town.

like other reviewers I purchased the Groupon facial. I have never had a facial before so I thought I would treat myself. It truly was a pampering experience. It was a facial along with a neck/shoulders/arm massage while in a relaxing massage bed! I have very dry skin and my skin felt great after my facial. However, my only complaint is that the next day my skin was a little dry again. I would definitely recommend Sandra for a facial.
