My teenagers found Pure Performance Martial Art Center a year ago and were so excited about it that they made me go and invited their friends and their cousins. It is a fantastic gymn. You can train to fight or you can just go to get in shape. If you want to learn self defense - this is the place for you. Both Otis Berry and Max the owners/instructors are amazing teachers and human beings! All the instructors are excellent. It is always a great work out and lots of fun. You have so much fun in class that you don't notice how hard you are working out until the class is over and then you think oh yeah! That was a great workout - I'll be sore tomorrow. It is by far the most fun and profesional gymn I have ever been to and I have been an active gymn person for many years. I am so motivated to get in shape and stay in shape and so are my 4 kids. Priceless - really.
I love Krav Maga.
I have only been going to PPMAC for a few months now.
The Krav classes are challenging and designed to make you able to defend yourself. And I definitely feel like mission accomplished. But that said, I can also say I am in the best shape of my life. The instructors are great. The owners are friendly, involved, knowledgeable individuals. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat and I wouldn't think of going to another gym!

Best place to train in MMA and Krav Maga!.
I have been training with the lead Krav Maga instructor, Otis Berry, for 6 years now and believe he is one of the top instructors around. When he opened his own training gym I was ecstatic and have been happily training at PPMAC for over a year now. The gym is clean, has great equipment, has truly professional instructors, as well as great students to train with.
Otis' Krav Maga program has helped me get into the best shape of my life as well as helped me to gain self-confidence as I have learned to better defend myself. His classes are fun, engaging, challenging, and teach you everything you will ever need to know about self-defense.
If you are looking for a great place to train, get in shape, or just have fun you definitely need to check this place out.
Pure Performance MAC is the place to Train!.
The location of pure performance is a place of work in progress. It might not have all the bells and whistles that some of the "high end schools" have. But if you come to learn, improve your skill, or maintain, this is the place! I have been going to Krav Maga classes here for four months now, and have noticed some of the negative reviews some people have said about this school on line. It's interesting, that they all seem to come from the same source/school. I hope these negative remarks are not coming from an instructor, this seems pretty unprofessional, and personnel. I can honestly say every instructor I have met at Pure Performance is a professional. They all make you feel like you belong, and want to teach you everything they have to offer. This is the place to learn and train. I would not want to waste my time at a place that likes to spend their time complaining or bashing other schools. Otis Berry is a person that I am proud to call my instructor. I have been in the military for 14 years, and can say that I still have a lot to learn, but I do know what makes a great service member, instructor, and a awesome place to train and learn. Otis, like many of the other instructors here are all excellent teachers and athletes.
After looking around the area for schools that offered Krav Maga and MMA classes, I found that Pure Performance had the best location, a good start up deal with packages that allow you to take as many classes of Martial Arts as you want, and accredited instructors.
After my first week alone, I noticed how knowledgeable all the instructors are. Even the students you work with are all helpful. Everyone is there to learn, better themselves, and help each other.

Great Gym.
As i started learning more about Krav Maga, I wanted to find a good school in my area that had good instructors, and effective seminar. I compiled a list of different schools in the area, and narrowed it down to 4 schools.
I decided to go with Pure Performance, and am very glad i did. The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable during the classes, and are even willing to help out students with pointers and minors outside of class. One of the main features that this gym has, which caught my eye, which just about no other gym in the east coast has, is a Krav Maga Alliance Black belt instructor, Otis Berry. With him as your instructor, you are guaranteed to learn tons of new techniques with each session.
After focusing on Krav Maga my first couple of months, I decided to try out some of the other martial arts, including Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. (they have alot of variety in their classes). All of the classes are informative, challenging, fun, and also very rewarding. You feel a great sense of accomplishment after each class.
The gym is very clean, the students all respect each other, and are always willing to help each other out, it has a great atmosphere, and I highly recommend this gym.
Growing gym with tremendous potential.
Clearly the only negative review is a former disgruntled student or a disgruntled past employee or more likely, a jealous competitor.
This gym is new and growing. As the gym grows and income is generated, the facility will only improve. That is in fact, the only area where improvement is necessary.
Otis is by far the most knowledgeable defensive tactics instructor I have ever met. I couldn't care if he shined boots for 10 years in the army - he is bad ass and I challenge anyone with hairy balls to step in to a ring with him.
Train here and you train with phenomenal dedicated instructors. I can't wait to see how this gym grows!
A great jiu jitsu, grappling and krav maga program. A great jiu jitsu, grappling and krav maga program leads to one thing – the ultimate rounded martial arts experience.
Impressed with Krav Maga instruction. Very impressed with Otis Berry’s Krav Maga instruction. He is probably one of the best instructors in the United States.
Instructor Otis Berry is a fraud.
Avoid this place at all cost. The owner/instructor Otis Berry lies when he claims to have been U.S. Army Special Forces. Berry was a support person (ie he did admin work) in an SF Group. He's not a Green Beret, though he'd like you to get that impression from his website.
He's stealing the honor of true Special Forces soldiers who sacrificed to earn the reputation. And now Berry's trying to make a living teaching martial arts to housewives off of SF's good name.
Also, the other reviews are clearly written by Berry. They fact that he couldn't fake reviews any better should be telling.
This sure beats ALL. Man! What a workout! This sure beats training at the gym. It is fast and informative. No Kata's, no rituals, just strait learning to defend yourself. It is exactly what they say.
