Citysearch Editorial Review. The famous Jewish deli from the 90210 offers a sleek second location in Thousand Oaks at the popular outdoor mall The Lakes. Alongside P.F. Chang’s, California Pizza Kitchen and 11 acres of park, playground and man-made lakes, the spacious deli itself has sprawling real estate with a long counter, padded booths and high, bright windows offering a grassy view. Plus, there’s a sunny patio. There may be fewer celebrity sightings, but suburban families happily dig into giant plates of the same deli classics at the original Beverly Hills location. Breakfast features pancakes, blintzes, omelets, and eggs with sturgeon or pastrami. Jewish standards include stuffed cabbage, kasha varnishkas, matzo ball soup, hot pastrami, and chopped chicken liver. You’ll also find burgers, melts, sandwich combos, giant salads, and dishes like meatloaf, roast chicken and pot roast. Try the famous “double baked” rye bread, which has its own cult following and the corned beef with its “secret” family recipe.
