Not what I thought it would be
by Southern Gent
We tried Rosati's after talking about wanting a good, deep dish pizza. When we ordered the pizza, we were informed that it would take 45 minutes to bake. No problem for good pizza. Problem was, it wasn't that good of a pizza. Chicago style pizza should be a hearty, deep dish pie. This had a tall crust rim, but the crust itself wasn't really thick at all. The sauce was average, and the toppings were skimpy. Also, they didn't accept debit or credit cards at the time, For the price you pay, you don't get a good value.
I won't be back!
Finally a Rosati's in SoCal....Thank You

I had heard the Rosati family were not enthusiastic about franchising, I'm thankful they've changed their minds.
I enjoyed my first Chicago "stuffed" pizza 16 years ago, then discovered Rosati's while in Elk Grove Village, IL about 5 years ago...2 years later I accidentally found the Rosati's in Chandler, AZ and dragged my coworkers there...and while referring Rosati's to friends visiting Chicago, I was shocked to see the Corona location listed on the web.
Those who have never had pizza...IN CHICAGO...have no clue what Chicago pizza really is; yes, you've been lied to all these years! Up 'til now, I was the only California native who knew this secret, all that's about to change...GO TO ROSATI'S!
BTW...they also have Italian Beef Sandwiches & Chicago Hotdogs on the menue!!!
- Pros: AUTHENTIC Chicago Pizza
- Cons: It's a long drive from Rancho Santa Margarita
Best Pizza in California

I finally found out what "Real Chicago Town" pizza means... And it's nothing like what you get at Tyler St Mall.
Real deep dish with a tall crust and the tomato sauces go on the top... It kind of looks like a pie.
The owner is from Chicago himself (Mario) - He missed Rosatis food so much he got in touch and decided to open a store right here in Corona... So there is real passion for authenticity.
I think there are only 2 locations in CA, but this place is well worth a visit... 10 out of 10
- Pros: Real!!! Chicago Pizza
- Cons: They don't deliver to Norco Hills :(
