STAY AWAY! They will cheat, lie and steal to make a buck! – I bought a used refrigerator from Randy at Busby's Appliances and he stated numerous times that it was in perfect working order and how well he cleaned it. It was delivered to my house free of charge, but the guy who delivered it caved in the bottom of it by dropping it, but didn't tell me he had damaged it. I found this out when the refrigerator wouldn't work and Gary came out to repair it. He said the bottom was bent so badly it stopped the fan from working. When I asked about the icemaker and water dispenser and told him I needed it to work, he took a look at it and found the guts dry rotted, so there was no way it was going to work (and there was no way Randy told me the truth that everything was in good working order. Since Randy said he would guarantee the refrigerator, I asked that it be put in working order. I was promised that the parts would be in and the refrigerator repaired before my visitors started arriving for Thanksgiving. That never happened and I was stuck without an icemaker. I was given every excuse under the sun why Gary never came back...the part wasn't in, he had been so busy, etc. I have continued to call this place for over a MONTH and my refrigerator is STILL not repaired. There were parts missing off the refrigerator I was promised...then they said they didn't know where the parts were. I have been told several times the ice maker parts are not in, then told they are in but not picked up, then told they are not in, then told they are in but not picked up, then told that they are in, have been picked up but can't be located in their store and they will get back to me...they STILL have not called. Someone answering the phone there has taken my calls, said both Randy and Gary were busy or "out" and promised that one of them would call back and they NEVER DID! I dropped off another refrigerator for repair at the same time I purchased the used refrigerator from them. They "repaired" the appliance, then sold the appliance and didn't tell me; then, the person who bought it brought it back two days later because it wouldn't work...I would never have known they had sold it if I had not asked about how the repairs were coming. They told me to get rid of the appliance while it's working because the manufacturer discontinued replacement parts for it, so whoever buys it is going to be stuck with a refrigerator that can't be repaired if the parts go out again. If they stand there and tell me to do that and that they are willing to push off a faulty refrigerator onto someone else, then I know they will do the same thing to me...which they did. I just called this business again before writing this review and finally got hold of Randy. He actually stated that it has not been done because Gary is fussing that they are not making any money off repairing the refrigerator (which should have worked in the first place!) I am appalled beyond belief! I am now stuck with a refrigerator without a working ice maker and both Randy and Gary have repeatedly lied to me. Do not do business with these shysters. They will lie to you to make a sale, "guarantee" that the appliance will work, then never call you back or make good on the repairs they have promised in order to make the purchase right and fair. They are a bunch of dishonest con men who will tell you ANYTHING to make a sale...the whole lot of them!
Great Personal Service! Always treated like family, service after sale is fantastic, will DELIVER how cool is that? – I've been doing business with the Busby Family for about 20 years. While not many local shops can compete with larger "Wal-Mart" types, Busby does. Do not expect to go in and find his prices to be consistently lower than others, they are not. Experience, dedication, service after you buy, helping you make the decision(s) what product is best suited for your needs, basically face-time. When I go in the store I am never treated like "who's next", and "hurry up and decide". Many others have very young staff that have never dealt with the history of bad product, warranty issues, or even repair problems, Busby has. He can help you make an informed decision when shelling out for your next appliance purchase. Just as important, buying from places like Busby, keeps the money you spend local. It helps keep local events for our children funded, and keeps "our" hometown from getting so over commercialized the "take a number" syndrome does not have to take us over. I am ready for a new television for the bedroom and while I have shopped around, I will spend a few extra dollars and in exchange I get someone who waits on me while I am there, and after I leave, and any time in the future. For me, it is worth it. Keep your money as local as you can, it is like voting with dollars.
