Best Day Spa in Puget Sound Region. If there?s one thing that makes turning another year older more palatable, it?s the yearly spa ritual I?ve established with my best friend. This year, we celebrated our birthdays together with facials at the Avanti Day Spa--and it was exactly what I had hoped for when I selected it for our upcoming spa day.

We pulled in to the valet parking on Commerce Street about 45 minutes before our treatment so we could relax in the steam room and enjoy a cup of tea in the sanctuary.

We walked down a curving staircase past the medi-spa to the day spa on the Pacific Avenue level of the spa. As we entered the spa reception area, we were treated to the soothing sounds of two waterwalls covered in mosaic tiles. The scent of lavender signaled the beginning of our relaxing journey.

Several attendants welcomed us at the desk and while one took in our preferences and background information, another prepared mint herbal tea for us to enjoy in the spa?s sanctuary. Then we were shown to our lockers where waffle-weave cream spa robes and slippers awaited.

Sherri, a 25-year veteran of the salon and spa business, ushered me into our treatment room where classical piano music played softly in the background. After a thorough examination of my skin and a few questions, Sherri determined I was in need of super-moisturizing emphasis during my Tuscany Sunshine Facial.

Sherri and I chatted about the spa, her background in the salon and skin care industry and how much she liked working at Avanti. But once I was lulled into relaxation mode and stopped asking questions, she allowed me to enjoy the treatment, take in the aromatherapy and listen to the soothing music.

The facial was wonderful, including the back, shoulder and scalp massages. At times, I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep. My skin lapped up the moisture and looked noticeably firmer and less dry when the treatment was over.

My friend had a similar experience. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous Massage. This is such a beautiful spa. The overall environment is phenomenal! I had the best massage and facial I have ever had. The therapists are attentive and informative, I felt well taken care of and relaxed. It was just what I needed, to walk into a gorgeous environment and feel at ease from the beginning of my experience to end. The hardest thing will be to decide what to do next time, there are so many options.

Most elegant and well appointed spa in all of Washington!. Ask for a full tour - you will not believe what is all there! 10,000 sq. ft. of first class spa! One can only conclude a upper end Marriott hotel demands the same from a spa within! Very fair pricing for what is provided in service, products and amenities. As a man the versatility begs me to go again for many reasons: there is a mens high end barber, two couples related service rooms, multiple spa services and medical spa services - hair removal and sun damage are my needs and they claim to have the best equipment for both. I look forward to finding out.

Highly recommend.

Most beautiful spa I've ever been in. Rivals any top spa in Seattle!. This spa has gorgeous decor, a warm and friendly staff, and services unheard of in this area. The body-slimming treatment, Ionothermie, works wonders and COMPLETELY reduced cellulite before my vacation!...and no on in the NW does this cool European treatment. Once you enter the spa you feel like you're in a fancy spa in Las Vegas or the Southwest. They offer every service from Medical spa treatments (botox, restylane, laser hair removal), facials, massage, couples treatments, microdermabrasion, even teeth whitening! This spa is a gem! Priced very competitively for the Tacoma market too! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

This luxurious spa is built as a European village, complete with wrought iron railings and faux flowerboxes, wanting to whisk its patrons away from everyday life. It does the trick. The spa offers a dazzling array of services: facials, steam rooms, mud wraps, massages and salt scrubs. The salon is divided in half--ladies get manicures, pedicures and makeup, while gents enjoy Turkish shaves and male manicures. A medical facility is also on site.
