Steve from Chelmsford. I've worked at Central Cooling & Heating for 27 years and have always used them for installations and service. They do an exceptional job with both. They are very efficient and professional in their dealings with their customers as they have a veteran work force. My wife is always impressed by how clean they leave the place when they are done.

Great service!!. I bought a house with central air conditioning in Wilmington. The system was pretty old and as luck would have it, the compressor stopped working. I called these guys and they came out the next day, gave me a proposal for installing a new unit on the spot, and I was back up and running 2 days later. The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. The price was very fair and I will definitely call Central again.

central air conditioning with zones. We had a tricky old house in Marblehead we wanted zoned, central air conditioning installed in. Central Cooling, somehow, found a way to install and conceal the ductwork to eight rooms and zoned it with thermostats in each room. They also installed air cleaners and a humidifier. The system runs great and we have had nothing but positive dealings with this company. Very professional and responsive. I highly recommend them (and we are hard to please!!).

Oil to gas conversion. So far so good!. Late last year we decided to convert from oil to gas. It was a big decision because of the money involved but the gas company was offering good incentives for a new boiler. Plus, I was tired of haggling with the oil company, scheduling, blah blah. I contacted one of their sales guys (darren?) and he was over in the week to look at the place, take measurements and then got back to me the next day with a price. I got other quotes in the but never pulled the trigger so knew what that ballpark price would be. This time they came in pretty much in the middle of the other quotes so we decided to go with Central. (Oh, we chose a super high efficiency Lochinval boiler with indirect hot water tank. We could have gone with tankless but I like indirect better) Anyhow, work was done in a timely fashion and the installers were professional and cleaned up after the job was done. In the end we are very happy with the results especially with the MUCH lower heating bill we are already getting. A++

Very solid service company. They just left my house this morning, and I felt compelled to write, since I have not had luck with most of the service companies that come to my house. An exception is Central, which installed my furnace and AC a few years ago and have serviced it since. I haven't had a tech visit who wasn't the nicest guy. Very conscientious, took the time to explain what they did, and were very neat and tidy. Fair prices. I personally think they are a fine company.

PROFESSIONAL & KNOWLEDGABLE. I am a real estate agent who has been in the business for 20+ years. I have dealt with many, many contractors over the years I have been in business. During a home inspection, the inspector told my client, she should have the heating/HVAC system looked at by a professional. I contacted Central Cooling & Heating. They came out in a very timely manner & the technician sent was knowledgeable, professional and extremely service oriented. He went above and beyond the scope of what he was contracted to do. Additionally, Central Cooling & Heating's service manager took more time to research information to ensure the system was properly installed.

I would highly recommend this company.

Dont bother.. Three Strikes and your out! These guys are horrible and have screwed me over on 3 seperate occasions. They have robbed me of hundreds of dollars and nearly ruined my brand new furnace in the first year.

1) First they did a pm on my furnace the year after it was installed (carlos) and the tech left a condensate tube clamp loose enough to have a bad leak inside the furnace. I fixed it myself...thanks for nothing. ..Go work at burger king. You almost ruined a brand new furnace you hack!!

2) Then last year one of the pvc pipes was leaking inside the house.They charged me 300 dollars to replace just the elbow, and the guy put a big ugly crack in my wall when he fit the pipe together. Yet more Hackery!!

3) Asked about possibly hiring to have them install central ac in my home. Steve said he would have the Vice President Ed come by to price the job for me at 7 am. I waited till 7:45 and the guy never even showed up, called or anything. THAT SUCKS....Ill gladly go spend my thousands of dollars elsewhere.

These guys installed a furnace in my home 5 years ago and apparantly cant be bothered to provide any type of proffesional service to me even though I live in thier neighboorhood. With the current price of gas and the fact that they charge a very unreasonable rate of travel/ labor I should be looked at as easy money. Lets face it If they can't handle that then do you want to trust them with keeping your family comfortable? I certainly will NEVER trust them again

The hole in my ceiling tells the whole story. Terrible customer service. Darrent Hamilton has still not returned any of the 3 telephone calls I left him when I got home and found a 3 foot hole in my bedroom ceiling. Workers are nice and professional but the staff at the office is just not worth the hassle.
