Are they still operating?. Well I haven't been there, let me say that first. I have to drive about three hours, just to check it out. I thought that I might be able to contribute something significant about this venue, nonetheless.

A 2005 news article reports that the Music Cafe was going to be losing their liquor sales license, on account of violations in sale of alcohol to minors, as well as falsification of documents.(Citation: "Violations threaten to close Music Cafe.", Columbia Daily Tribune, 5 May 2005 - available online, under that title)

So, are there any professionally run clubs, out there? I mean, geez, it's a business.

Drunken Coeds. The bar looks great, and carries the best beers and whiskies in town. you can also find many good musicians there. unfortunately, it is crowded with drunken college students on the weekends.
