worst service

When my husband and I first arrived it took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks (iced tea and bud light), we ordered our food (that took another 45 min to get).. in the time we were waiting we didn't see our waitress at all to get refills.. the bus help was more interested in taking care of us then the waitress. When asked the waitress for another beer she ignored me, so when my husband asked again she rudely responded "yes! i heard the first time." And walked off. The food was good.. but overpriced, would come back but the staff will keep us away.

Well worth the experience ! ! !

The experience starts the moment you walk through the door. You are welcomed by very friendly hostesses. We didnt have a reservation, and it was a very busy saturday night, but to our surprise the hostess did her very best to get us a nice table as quick as she could. When we were seated, the waitress was very prompt to get to our table. We enjoyed lovely drinks. For our appetizer we ordered onion rings, which were served warm and crispy. We highly recommend there appetizers. My husband enjoyed the lovely spinich salad, served with there fresh, homemade dressing. I enjoyed there fresh lettuce salad. It was very crispy and colorful with lots of vegetables on top. Then our waitress brought out the main course, prime rib for me and the porter house steak for my husband. The prime rib was like a little piece of heaven. It literaly melts in your mouth. Served with a steaming hot baked potato, this prime rib is hard to beat. My husbands steak was cooked to perfection, and served with a side of grilled asparagus ( which is normaly very hard to find.) After we finnished, our meal was completed with a delicous slice coconut creme pie for me and homemade strawberry pie for my husband. We had a pleasent meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff is very hard working and plesent to be around. Our bill was surprisingly, very affordable. In closing, this is without a doubt the best restaurant for miles around. I normally wouldnt take the time to write a review if the restaurant wouldnt have stood out as being great. i highly reccomend visiting the hoof and horn. We will sure be back soon.

Fantastic Food

Coming home to visit from Tennessee, one of our favorite restaurants to visit is the Hoof & Horn. My absolute favorite is the Prime rib seasoned to perfection (you can cut it with a fork), with a twice baked potato the best in the USA, a salad with lemons squeezed for dressing and an appetizer of fried mushrooms. A very delicious meal fit for a King or Queen. You just don’t know how well your steaks are until you move away and the meat taste like they fed them rocks. I rate this restaurant number ONE in my travel. I will always visit the very BEST in the Midwest.
