Hole in the wall family restaurant
by greymouse26 at Citysearch
When I first moved to the high desert, my family would commonly eat here on a Friday night. It never was really busy, and on a cold winter night, they normally had a fire going in the fireplace. Cute, homely place to eat pizza or generic American foods.
- Pros: no wait; good service
- Cons: In the middle of nowhere
An old family favorite

I grew up in Wrightwood, and until Mile High Pizza opened up in town, we used to drive here for takeout pizza all the time. I had a chance to eat there not too long ago while visiting family and found it to still be really good. Not the type of place where you'd order a salad, but for perennial American favorites, you could do alot worse.
- Pros: modest prices, excellent pizza
Mountain retreat

About 45 miles from the San Gabriel Valley, this is the only place on the 2 freeway until you get to Wrightwood. Nice place and very woodsy, the food is pretty average and the prices are lower than what you might expect when they are the only game in town. Plenty of parking and a location that you can't miss make it accessible. Sundays are usually biker day as the place is full of motorcycle riders on their Sunday ride through the mountains.
- Pros: location, parking, prices
- Cons: location
