She confused me- is she narcoleptic?

She had no plan for my therapy. I walked out of her office wondering what in the heck?She also seemed to close her eyes a lot - almost as if she were sleeping. A couple of times I quit talking and she just sat there with her eyes closed- was she asleep? Was she bored with my problems? What the heck!

Was very helpful when help was needed

A few years back I was really in a bad way. It had gotten to the point where I would wake up each morning and my first thought would be "What's the point?". After a bit of foot dragging on my part I finally scheduled an appointment with Janet. At the time I really needed an outside person to hear me out. She was there to listen when it was needed. But she didn't just sit back and do nothing. She would give me back what I gave her in a way that helped me to understand things better. I could not have found a better person to help me at the time.

BEWARE OF THIS WOMAN!!!

I would NOT recommend this woman! I think her 'therapy' is dangerous. She would FALL ASLEEP during my appointments but would be VERY awake when my husband would show up with me. My husband wanted to 'swing' and she told me that s - e -x outside the marriage was "just s- e -x" (this is a direct quote). My husband used that quote quite a bit after he heard it! She caressed his ego, and pointed her finger at me for the problems in the marriage because I was depressed and had an alcoholic parent! NOT ONE MENTION was made of my husbands part in the problem because he has a PhD and holds a good job. BEWARE OF HER SHE IS TERRIBLE!!!! After my experience with her, I went to school, took many courses in psychology and was asked to be a teaching assistant for a local college. EVERY psychologist and therapist I spoke with since has told me that her methods are DANGEROUS, and they think she is a quack!
