Today, the naughty public treasury of legendary unmentionables and bewitching props is run by former stripper Dixie Evans. (Now in her 70s, Evans traveled the exotic dance circuit from 1949 to 1962 as "The Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque." Sometimes, she invites visitors into her home for a moment of silent contemplation before the ashes of her friend, dancer Sherry Champagne.
