In Short – Eating here is a walk on the wild side. The interior is like a well-heeled country cottage complete with stone accents, a live trout tank and bare wood tables. The menu includes traditional fare with a Michigan flair as well as elk, partridge, goose, venison and bear. The staff can suggest the best wine to accompany a patron's wooly selection. Diners in golf shirts are as welcome as those in silk suits.

The Loon in all of us

by jimmyk64

A wonderful, semi-casual restaurant with an eclectic menu. Choose Michigan game or fish; or traditionals like thick-cut pork chops or steak or chicken. This is a bustling room that is very busy Friday, and Saturday nights, so sit at the bar and do some people watching while you wait for a table. Fun place.

  • Pros: Great bar, Menu surprizes
  • Cons: Busy
