The robust, earthy cooking style is surprising in a trendy suburban restaurant where the cell phone is an accepted accessory and deals get closed at the bar, and the dishes are as basic as the decor is slick. Traditional Italian and upscale seafood dishes fill the menu.

We Don't Feel Welcomed Here

We're big fans of Andiamo restaurants. We live near this one but we avoid it. We've never been welcomed here. The staff always seems to act as if everyone else but us is a regular, welcomed guest. When we arrive, the hostess always says, "Do you have a reservation?" instead of, "Welcome." It's as if the management here only wants the old established customers, and if you don't act that way, you may as well go somewhere else. It's way too stuffy here. We prefer the ones in Royal Oak, Rochester, Warren, and St. Clair Shores.

worst experience ever

What a mistake. We took our daughters for their 19th B-day thought it would be a great experience for them.
Their pop was flat two times the waiter just chuckled. One of the menu was missing an insert half of the menu. All though we were one of the first ones seated at 5:30, everyone around was sat after us and served before us. We actually sat and watched the waiter giving another waitress a back rub as we waited for our meal. While we were waiting a spider came along and crawled up my daughters neck it took every thing she had not to sceam!!! Finally the food came and in the middle of her dinner she pulls a long blonde hair out of her food. (we are italiain we have dark hair). of corse she ate now more. we told the waiter what happen he laughed and said it just isn't your day. NEVER BROUGHT THE MANAGER OVER, and didn't even comp her meal. This was a horrible experence all a round. Oh and the food was O.K.

Overpriced, but VERY good

My girlfriend and I went here for New Year's Eve dinner, and we had a great time. They had live music, the waitstaff was fun, informed, and pleasant to work with, and the food was UNBELIEVABLY great. But the bill was about 35% too high, even for as good as the food, atmosphere, and service was. Won't be going again until I get a better job.
