In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
did not meet my expectations
by arthur v at Citysearch
I've recently tried outback steakhouse for the first time at the ann arbor location. I guess I had greater expectations. I ordered the steak and broccoli dinner. That was literally all I received, no bread, rolls or anything else with the meal which I thought was overpriced for what I got. I received a small dried up little steak and a tiny portion of freezer burned broccoli. For the price they couldn't even use fresh broccoli. That was my first and last time visiting any outback steakhouse. Not impressed.

The food overall is good.. I had a bacon cheese burger and it was pretty good. My bf had a steak and he said that it was pretty good. My favorite item is their bloomin' onions. It's so good.
- Pros: Food was good, good customer service
