Unfortunately we booked our wedding at Barrister House. We paid extra in cash (as requested) for a premium bar, but never saw a single bottle of premium liquor. They broke our crystal toasting glasses. They switched us into the smaller room at the last minute which crammed our large wedding in too small of a space but allowed a much smaller wedding to have the large room we paid for. The guest tables were served before the wedding party, putting us behind schedule. Some of the guest tables never received a dessert tray. When we addressed these problems with them, we basically got a shrug of the shoulders. We certainly did not get an apology....or new toasting glasses.

We had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Barrister House last year and found the hall to be well-kept and updated. Apparently they have undergone a renovation in the past couple years. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Both the shower and the wedding had consistent, good service. The parking lot behind the hall is in questionable shape and it can be a bit confusing to figure out which door to enter.

The hall is located on the corner of Harper Avenue and Sunnyside Street. There is limited parking behind the hall, as well as to the side of it, but many use the side street to park, as well as another business's lot, since it is closed most of the time the hall is in use. Prices are comparable when compared to other banquet halls in the area. Food is great. Owner is very pleasant and helpful. You can host showers, weddings or reunions, anything you want! Hall can also be separated into 2 rooms, as opposed to using the one big room by itself.
