In Short – The sound of jazz resonates as the smell of Cajun spices seduces incoming diners. The food is straight out of the French Quarter, as catfish atchafalaya, snapper beausoleil, alligator voodoo and Bayou caviar bring Louisiana flavor to Michigan. Fishbone's uses a milder, more flavorful blend of spices and herbs during the blackening process, but hot sauces are available to please those in search of heat.
Fish Bones - Saint Clair Shores....Poor service.....Cold Food

Do not schedule important event in this place, as POOR SERVICE, COLD FOOD, will certainly spoil you experience. Yesterday we had important event scheduled there and I regret picking this place. All our food came in COLD, not warm actually COLD. The waitress provided some of the worst service I had ever had, complete disregard to customers as she later stated "The tip is mandatory if the party is over five". I wonder maybe that's why we have had such bad service, because she knew her tip was mandatory. In any case very very very disappointing experience especially when its birthday of someone you love and you try to make it the best day for them.
thanks
- Pros: GOOD FOOD if your server didn't forget about you and brought it warm
- Cons: POOR SERVICE

My girlfriend and I decided to go to FB instead of going downtown. Knowing that it would be busy(like it always is), but we figured if we got there before the bar flys started rolling in we might of had a chance at a table. Sounded like a great idea right? Well yes, and no! As we walked in we saw our table(open, and in the bar area to watch the games)! Quickly we strolled over to take our prize. "Sorry guys that table is reserved" stated the manager. Really I asked, and then he told me the gentleman was outside on the phone(nobody was outside). So this is how it got confusing cause how can you make a reservation at a restaurant that does not take reservations! Well we got our answer about an hour later, as we stood by the bar. It was held for one of the staffs friends. Which I think is BS, but next time we will be headed downtown.
- Pros: Patio, Sushi
- Cons: Wait staff
Disappointing in every way

My boyfriend and I went to Fishbones on 8/18/07. We were looking forward to it as he had a craving for crawfish and I was jonesing for some bread pudding. We ordered the crawfish boil appetizer then jambalaya and southern fried catfish for dinner. No sooner had a server come out with the crawfish (mumbling something about mussels??) then the waitress appeared with our entrees. She didn't seem to notice we weren't anywhere near ready for the entrees and continued to come back to the table repeadetly asking how things were when obviously we hadn't touched them. The dinner salads were mostly iceberg lettuce (I would expect better considering the prices). My boyfriend complained that his jambalaya was mostly rice and sauce, with very little sausage and seafood. My catfish was unremarkable at best, though at least it was still warm by the time I got to it. When we had clearly finished our dinners, our waitress was nowhere to be seen. She finally materialized when our drinks were gone asking if we wanted another round. At that point, even bread pudding wasn't going to salvage the experience so we asked for our bill and went across the street for soft serve instead. Considering the prices, this place seems to skimp on everything.
- Pros: one of the few places with creole cuisine in metro Detroit
- Cons: mediocre food, poor service, high prices for the quality
