In Short – Buddy's is a Detroit institution ("since 1946"). It's loud and family-friendly, with TVs everywhere, and serves distinguished, if not risky, pizza. The furthest away from traditional they get is the gourmet vegetarian pizza with cauliflower and broccoli. The unusual crust is one reason Buddy's delights; it's barely there and yet crisp as can be. A wide range of fried appetizers, homemade soups, burgers, sandwiches and pastas is also available.
