In Short – Whether you're looking for a chic watering hole or a place to take the family, Lily's is sure to satisfy. In addition to a menu of worldwide tastes (mussels from Prince Edward Island, pork and scallop satay, Creole soup, Caribbean scallops, and crab from the Bering Sea) this family-owned favorite features homemade seafood sausage and pastas, brews their own beers, and also have their own root beer and cream soda.

lousy food & wine .....very expensive for what you get

by martinroger at Citysearch

My wife, daughter and I went to 'lily's last evening. It was NOT a nice gastronomic experience.

:

* The glasses of wine were expensive ($9) which was OK but the wine was so acid that it had to be sent back. This can happen anywhere but my guess is that the bottle had been open at least 72 hours with no gas protection.

* the bread rolls were stale and the butter had some "extra" mixed in that was really awful.

* the shrimp & scallop dish was badly cooked (not over or under but just bad ) although the vegetables were OK

* my wifes broiled scallops tasted like ....nothing ! ...really awful .

The entrees were $19.95 each so not cheap particularly given the "brewery " surroundings.

Not a place to go to unless your full evening is made up of beer with no food.

Great place for a cheap pint of beer

by pussycruncher69 at Citysearch

This is strictly a review of the beer as I have not eaten any food at Lily's. I have drank a fair amount of craft beer and would say that Lily's beer is a great value for a pint of beer. 1 dollar pints from 8 p.m. till midnight on Mondays are a great deal; if you want a seat at the bar then I would advise you to show up at 8PM as it gets pretty packed. The all you can eat fish fry sounds like a really good deal for 10 dollars on Monday nights also. Their happy hour is from 2 pm - 6pm on weekdays and 11am-6pm on Saturdays, 2 dollar pints.

I would recommend their Whitefish Bay Wheat (Hefeweizen) for a great summer beer. Their Reggie's French River Red (American Amber) and IPA are also very good. The Strange Stout has a thin mouthfeel but it's very sessionable; it's not that filling.

Wonderful seafood

by cranberriesfan at Citysearch

We really enjoyed our lunch at Lily's. It was quite empty when we went for lunch on a weekend, so we got a great table by the window and the service was friendly and quick, but not rushed.

The food was delicious and the portions are huge. You could really feed two people off an appetizer and one entree. If i didn't have the sneaking suspicion that i ate more than two days of calories in one sitting, i could eat here every day!

  • Pros: wonderful seafood selection, great ambiance
  • Cons: none
