Awful

I wish I would've seen these posts before last night. I will never go back to this bar. They are crooks. All the bartenders charge more drinks to your tab than what you actually order. If you do go, either pay cash, or keep a close count on what you get. And when you try to inquire about your bill, the bartenders will treat you very poorly. They will imply that your drunk and therefore don't know what you're talking about, or that you are cheap. They have absolutely no respect for the customer.

Bartender is a b!%*h

This place is the pits! Went there on Monday, June 30th, 2008 and was served by rudest bartender I have ever had the sorry misfortune of running into. The service was the worst I have ever encountered in all the years I have been going into Royal Oak. They charge top dollar for their drinks and meals, then they treat the customer like dirt. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!! Go anywhere else but here.

With the economy the way it is, you would think customer service would be important to a restaurant. Obviously, this is not the case at Woody's.

• Pros: easy to get a seat, no customers because they are treated terribly
• Cons: easy to get a seat, and be treated like dirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So disappointing!

We were so disappointed with the service we received at Woody's in Royal Oak on Saturday. A large group arrived just as I was handing our server payment. Instead of returning with our change (about $20), the waitress decided to serve drinks to this group. I repeatedly asked for our change, and even chased the waitress across the restaurant in an attempt to get MY MONEY back. I was told "wait one minute." I had already waited 30 minutes - and was taking up one of their tabels while waiting. I finally found a manager who, instead of trying to do damage control with me, yelled at the waitress to give me my money. I finally got it after 45 minutes. Bottom line: They were not staffed for a Saturday night, and obviously don't hire the best employees. Oh, and did I mention our food order came out wrong? Worst dining experience ever. I will never return, and plan to tell all my neighbors in Royal Oak. With so many great restaurants in that city, there's no reason to return to Woody's.
