NEVER AGAIN!!
by Nana02478 at Citysearch
We have dealt with Fresh Pond Animal Hospital in the past & never had a problem until tonight. Our cat has a terrible scratch on his ear & the area appears to be crusty. We were offered an appointment tonight, but, after I explained that I wouldn't be able to pay them until next week, that's when their tone changed. The tech spoke to the office manager about our monetary situation & the office manager refused to allow us to have our cat looked at unless we could pay upfront for the appointment. Good to know that Fresh Pond Animal Hospital cares more about their precious money than taking care of their animals.
go to another vet

The staff here is very nice. They also seem competent. However, I have never in my life felt like i was being taken and ripped off by prices like I have by this vet. Their fees are outrageous! And then they wont even authorize prescriptions over the phone to other vet pharmacies such as 1800 pet meds. I can see why after seeing the differences in price.
Find another vet and save your wallet from being emptied.
Big disappoinment & I'm not even a client

I'm in the Belmont area temporarily and have a diabetic cat. I was running low on syringes for him and called to find out that if I had my vet fax his prescription over could I please pick up a box. They will not help unless my cat is a patient of theirs. Thanks but no thanks. Of all the vets I've worked with this is a first. So they would make me pay for an appointment then they would sell me the syringes. What a ripoff. The good news is that there are other vets in the area and I don't have to deal with this arrogance. I would give this group no stars, but since they answered the phone, I guess it's worth one star.
Worst vet I have ever dealt with

this was the worst experience I have ever had with a vet. I went to them for help concerning a ferrel cat, an was they actually insulted me and my situation. It was horrible, if you want to deal with people with a soul, do NOT go here.

I brought my cat to Fresh Pond for her yearly exam and was impressed by the facility and staff. The hospital was very clean and everyone was professional and attentive. The doctor that we saw was concerned about being proactive about my cat's health, especially her teeth! I'm so glad that I found a great place that I can trust with my cat.
