MISSING ITEMS! I never received boxes containing precious personal belongings. I under NO circumstances would ever recommend this company to anyone. My personal experience was horrible and I regret ever trusting my possessions into the care of Eagle Van Lines of Watertown, Mass aka Careful Movers LLC :(
Great experience! – We had an excellent experience. No complaints at all - I would use again and highly recommend. This was a move from Boston area to Lake Winnipesaukee area of New Hampshire. Everything was easy, from booking on-line to the move, everyone was courteous and helpful. Booking was easy, the guys showed up on-time and even called to let me know they were on the way. They were very pleasant, worked efficiently and carefully. Nothing was damaged throughout entire move. I was very happy with service. They made for a very smooth moving day.
Good talk, poor followup – We moved from Ma to Florida, and were told by Eagle they used experienced drivers, and all would go well with one of the pickup packing drivers on board for the delivery in Florida. The packing went well, with additional charges of $2,500 due to miscalculations by the sales agent. In FL the truck arrived OK, but the driver ( a young man with another young 20 yr old assistant) was unable to bring the truck next to the house. He stated the trees would scratch his moving van. I walked out to the highway with him, and discovered he was using a rented freight van. Apparently he was unable to manage a tight turn, or back the truck up. Rather, we were billed another $850.00 for a smaller truck he rented to unload, reload and deliver over the following two days We were scammed. In this neighborhood we see large 18 wheel moving vans, which is the advantage of having experienced drivers. As for our damaged furniture, notes were taken, but we have never again heard from Eagle. We choose poorly, so beware of false advertising.
Great move with Eagle Van Lines – We moved last month with Eagle Van Lines from Beacon Hill to Somerville. The guys did a great job - worked efficiently, carefully and respectfully. Plus, they did it in the time frame requested (actually it may have taken even less time!). We can't over-emphasized how important it is to have a courteous and hard working team to help with a move. There is so much stress involved with the whole moving process especially because we were moving within a short notice. They helped us make everything much more manageable, including helping us pack. We highly recommend you. Overall pricing and estimate were very close (we told them ahead of time we'll need help packing) and very reasonable compared to other companies we called. Thanks again so much for your professional service.
Eagle Van Lines Sucks! – I hired Eagle Van Lines to conduct an out-of-state move from Massachusetts to Florida. I was initially told my items will arrive within a week, a week later I called and was told the truck has not left Massachusetts yet. I called the company and was interrupted in the middle of my story to be told " I should have packed more wisely" in regards to urgency of receiving my items.
Every time I call I am met with dead air silence when requesting my items and the General Manager is such an unpleasant character; he is rude and calls you by your first name in an insulting manner. Many of the workers there are disrespectful and hangs up often in customers' faces. This business is unprofessional, lacks customer service skills, and only cares for your money, they don't even care for your business. This company is truly a joke!
It's not true. Customer received delivery date more than a week before the actual delivery date bur for some reason she didn't accept it. 3 office personal including the office manager tried very patiently to explain the contract customer signed with no success.
Terrible - multiple items damaged – On June 18th of 2010 the Eagle Movers were hired to move us from Shrewsbury to Shrewsbury.
Damaged futon (unusable), italian buffet, dining table (by forced assembly), kid's bedroom set (again incorrect assembly, drilled wholes where they were not supposed to be). Default insurance is useless since they are not willing to pay based on it.
While moving a number of items were damaged that according to insurance policy are to be reimbursed by weight at .60C per pound. Eagle or their agent insurance company is refusing to pay based on the actual (about 650lb) weight of the damaged goods and refuse to come and weight the damaged items per their own policy.
We have provided detail description of the items together with the links to these items on the internet where weight for these items is specified. They are refusing to take this into account and are basing their offer of $60 for damages at some random number for weight of the items.
I have requested for them to either come in and weight items that were damaged or use the number provided by item descriptions from various web sites.
Great Moving Experience – I recently moved with Eagle and was very happy. Although my move was only 2 streets up the movers were very careful and wrapped all of my belongings. I never used a moving company before, and I must say that I was very pleased with the service, every one was very nice and worked hard. If you want to have a good experience and move your belongings safely, give them a call!
great company – Every piece of our furniture was delivered on time and without anything damaged or misplaced. their pick-up and delivery crew members were awesome and worked their tails off until the job was done. It was the best moving experience we could of ever had. I will refer you guys in the future to all of our friends who may need a GREAT mover like Eagle Van Lines.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Moves commercial and residential clients in New England area with packing, storage and multiple insurance options; long-distance moving available.
Worst move I have ever had (and I've moved a lot!) – I moved this past weekend. I had moved with Eagle before and they were good. This time, they sent an 18 wheeler to move a one bedroom in the N. End. Because they sent the wrong truck, I was informed that due to their mistake, I would be unable to move or I would have to pay them hundreds of dollars more to have them park down the street. It was one of the worst situations I have ever encountered. If it weren't for the resourcefulness of the crew, I would not have moved. It was a horrible experience!
