Been to Russos. I have just been to Russo's to check out what the excitement is compared to Wilson Farms. Yes they do have lots of different items and the prices are better, however, the place is not as clean as Wilsons and I think the parking is worse. It is much harder to get to because of city traffic and lights so I think I will continue to pay the extra prices and go to Wilson Farms

Wonderful. The quality of this store is top notch. The staff is very friendly, produce is amazing in or out of season, the bakery is scrumptious(try the banana chocolate chip mini mufins).Plants are beautiful, really a great place.I am a true "farmie" I have been to almost every farm in CT,MA,NH as far as stores go this is one of my favorites! I am about an hour away but make the trip at least once a month.....So worth it. If your there with the kids they have farm animals in the barn-just ask someone how to get to the stairs that lead you down.

Oh and I forgot to mention try the Scalloped potatoes in the prepared food section YUMMY!

excellent quality---but VERY PRICY!. Fruit and produce is definetly the best quality in Boston area - beats Russo's by a mile. But-you pa for it - all produce and fruit is about 30-40% higher than nearest competitor (Russo). Place is fun to visit for families. Flower Dept is run by a woman who seems frustrated and has minimal ability to conduct cordial discussions with customers. If they were smart - they would move her someplace where no customer interaction is required. Otherwise - all is great quality but PRICY!

Top Notch Produce. Wilson Farms is a treat and an experience unto itself. The produce, cheese, meats, flowers, plants, etc are of the highest quality that I have found anywhere. You'll pay the premium price, but in my opinion it's worth it. You'll eat every single strawberry in that quart you buy -- the tomatoes taste like they came from your own garden.... go there on a Sunday for fresh bread and cheese..... The staff really know their stuff. I go there maybe once every two weeks and I've never seen them low on any of the stock. I've purchased veggie platters and fruit platters to bring to work events and they're always well received.

Pick up perennials, as well as tonight's supper.. The Scene
The centerpiece of this operation is the turn-of-the-century barn that sits on Wilson Farm's 33 acres of land. In the barn you'll find a varied, mouthwatering produce selection plus gourmet cheeses, baked treats and fresh-cut flowers. After stopping in the farmstand, go exploring in the garden center and greenhouse that contain almost 5,000 plants.

The Goods
Wilson Farms is one of Boston's best farmstands where you will find not only their own hen house eggs, but also freshly prepared take-home meals. The market also stocks top-quality produce and domestic and imported cheeses. Beyond the farmstand lies the nursery, where you can fulfill all your gardening needs with peat moss, topsoil, grass seed and gardening tools. Wilson Farms also has a large selection annual, perennial, vegetable and herb plants.

I like this place. This is a good place for high-quality produce. I especially like their fruits and packaged salad field greens, which are reasonably priced. It is a bit of a drive from Boston, but it's a fun place to visit.
